It has been a while since I made any figure review on any new figurines.. After I got my hands on the lovely Sega Hatsune Miku and Kagamine Rin during AFA08, I’ve decided to make a review of them (I still have alot more figure reviews to do =_=;;)
Well, as told earlier, I got the Sega Hatsune Miku and Kagamine Rin during the AFA08 event.. They were sold at the same price as those sold in Japan add with the shipping fee.. They cost about SGD$58 as a 2 piece set which for me is worth buying.. The problem was that La Tendo was the only local store that was selling them..
So let us begin the figure review of Sega Hatsune Miku..
Before we move on to Sega Kagamine Rin.. Those 2 are lovely aren’t they? ^^
As a Hatsune Miku fan, I am very strict when it comes to how well the Hatsune Miku figurines look like before I make a purchase.. So when I saw this Miku, I was thinking that she looks sweet so I took her in..
A close-up shot of Hatsune Miku..
Her clothes are quite detailed; From her sleeves right down to all the small parts and also her skirt too..
I didnt know what does those “pins” did until I tried them out.. Apparently they are meant to hold Hatsune Miku twintail hairs slightly higher than before.. And I also didn’t realise that Hatsune Miku’s twintail hairs can move slightly.. I almost thought I got a broken figurine.. x.X
Rear-view of Hatsune Miku..
A closer shot..
I swear this was accidental!!
Another close-up shot of her..
Now let us move on the Sega Kagamine Rin.. The other part of the 2 piece set, I was happy to obtain this since my brother, Fuzzy love Kagamine Rin so much.. Sega gave the same treatment to Kagamine Rin with such nice details that they put on Hatsune Miku..
Well, she doesn’t have any long hair/twintails so she doesn’t come with any “pins”.. Due to that also, her stand isn’t that big compared to Hatsune Miku’s version..
A close-up shot of Kagamine Rin..
Another close-up shot of her..
Although Kagamine Rin doesn’t have alot of details just like the original one, Sega at least put in some effort and do those available ones nicely..
Especially on her shoes/socks?.. o.O
Love the wording, “Electric Voice System..
As you can see, her base is pretty simple just like Hatsune Miku’s version; A Keyboard.. xD
Kagamine Rin looks yandere in this shot.. o.O
I have collected so many figurines that I have very little space left to put them together.. Although my parents approved of me getting figurines (apart from the small lectures), I don’t know whether they will approve me of getting a DeTolf glass cabinet.. >_<
Well, until I get my pay, I will never know.. And seriously I have no idea where to place the upcoming Limit Gunz and WonFest Nendo Miku.. I hope I didnt miss any figurines.. Maybe next time I will make a review of Jinki;Extend’s Aoba Tsuzaki.. ^^

I feel a little difference between GSC and this figure. I don’t know which is though, but hey, you know that the Vocaloid twins would come join Miku in her PSP game? Come look at my blog for some details. XD Or maybe you know this already?
@Andrei- I’m hoping that most of the Vocaloids’ll get in. *coughKaitocough* But I wouldn’t mind too bad if it just had Miku and the twins.
Back to the figs, are those cheaper or more expensive than the Figma versions?
Me and my friend shared the price and bought two mikus. One for each of us. When we got back home, we were still unsure of what those pins were. Until now.
xD
love the keyboard base. it’s a real bargain!
Awesome!
Yeah that’s a good figures for a nice deal price…. D: And I didn’t manage to get one… Oh well, that means good news for my Mr.wallet… xD
Unfortunately for me, I dont have Miku’s figure but thanks for the review and for the pics.
@ Andrei: Yeah, the Sega version is almost similar to the GSC version.. But GSC has slightly more details than the Sega version.. I do not mind though, as long they look very nice.. XD
Yeah, I did hear about the Kagamine Twins being in the game but I didnt know Miku has a new military outfit.. Very nice indeed.. Thanks.. ^^
@ Destinii: Well, they are cheaper than the figmas by SGD$10? But if you ask me, I recommend you to get the figmas as you can make alot of poses with them.. And they look cute too..
@ Zhlink: Ah ic.. Well, I am glad you know what they are used for.. It took me some while before I figured that out as well..
@ Kazearashi: Lol, I know how that feels.. *Money flying away..”
@ Gordon & Phossil: Thanks a million!! ^^
hmm… a piano base, how cute ^^; But thanks for the review anyway.
The duo looks good but could be perfect if Sega included Len!!!
@ RyoBase: No problem.. I’m glad you appreciate it.. ^^
@ Divine Fang: Yeah, it will not be complete if there is no Len.. They both are in the upcoming Project DIVA game..
Looking good!
I like Sega figures for impulse buys…Even if they turn out bad there was little money wasted
The base is pretty cool
I’m no figure expert, but I feel that these figurines are below “normal” figurines e.g. other GSC figures in terms of quality and material. The skin tone looks VERY dull.
They’re cheap though, so can’t argue with that. I love the keyboard bases too. ^.^
Awesome figures, but where is Len? Max Factory figures of the twins are pretty interesting, but Sega had made a nice job in this work!
A shame it´s so hard to import to south america….
There’s no Len available, sadly. =(
