This is actually a finisher to an ancient post I made about a Flash trilogy involving an affair between a bunny and a cat.

Hopefully you’ll look at that post first before reading this one so you’ll know what’s going on.

There She Is!! Step 3 covers Nabi’s unsuccessful first date with Doki, and how he tries to make amends, pretty much the same sort of theme displayed by previous episodes.

And then Step 4 takes it a bit further. Featuring dark, gloomy themes, it’s the total opposite of any of the episodes before it, and makes you realize how frightening Doki & Nabi’s world is when you take all that cheerfulness away.

In my opinion, though, the animation is slightly lacking in this particular episode, or at least not as impressive as Step 3 or even 2. Maybe the fella was rushing for time, who knows. :/

Luckily, Step 4 seems to be a one-off thing, as Step 5 returns to the same easy-going theme as it covers how Nabi gets his girl-bunny back after what happened in the previous episode. In fact, it almost makes Step 4 seem out of place, seeing as it looked pretty desperate; yet in Step 5, everything just fell into place…sorta.

It also features a bit of 3D animation, which is basically some flat floating sign disintegrating into…particles and stuff, I dunno. A big improvement over Step 4’s lack of quality.

My overall review? There She Is!! tells a “normal” love story, but it’s animated so well that it has managed to touch the hearts of a lot of people. Just ask all the fans lurking in the creator’s forums. :P

It’s not likely that another episode will be made at this point, since it’s most likely that the animator will move on to other collaborations. Judging by how well he animated that fighting scene in Step 2, I’m guessing that he’ll do more of that in the future.

And if you didn’t manage to Google the episodes up (or are too lazy), here are the links to each one.

Enjoy!
