Just a little something to pass the time, when I don’t feel like gaming, coding, or surfing. Which is rare.
Basically, the idea is to stick the VOCALOID figurines into a “normal” photo, then photoshoop it till it looks awesome. As awesome as my ability (or lack thereof) permits.
You may have seen my first (almost) complete attempt at photo manipulation here, which (by the way) earned me an A for my Digital Imaging module (and therefore contributing to my final 4.0 GPA for that semester \o/).
Fariz was kind enough to travel around town in search of good material, and from the pictures he took, you can sort of guess how I’ll be trying to “merge” the figurines into them.
It kinda sucks that I’m forced to use low-quality photos, especially in darker locations like the first photo, since it gets noisy, and I end up blurring the entire photo to produce a “glowing” effect just to hide this fact. :/
Expect these to be finished much much later, since I’m currently working on a major project and I absolutely suck at time management.

it would be better if you manually did the masking for this type of photo to remove the ‘light.

Yeah… I’m considering a retake of the first photo. Rin looks waaay too artificial.
Oh sounds interesting! I’ve seen some figmas ‘implemented’ into real life photos before, but would definitely like to see more from you!
