“Prototype”, A Mix of Mirror’s Edge + SpiderMan + GTA?

When I first saw the trailer for this game, I was thinking that this wouldn’t be one of the good games to play for 2009.. Well, after taking a look at another new trailer, “Top 10 reasons to get Prototype”, I think I might add it to my game collection though I doubt many will love it.. More on that later on..

So just like the title, the game is called “Prototype”, a story centered around Alex Mercer’s superhuman abilities. Apparently he gained so-called evolution faster than anyone else but he don’t have any knowledge about his past and about his parents.. So off he hunts to find information and also prevent the spread of a virus which got released over New York..

Well, before I move on, here is the trailer I was talking about.. Enjoy~

“Prototype” trailer:

I find something so familiar about the game after I watched the trailer.. The environment the game is in is so similar to the game “Spiderman: Web of Shadows”.. I’m not talking about the location, I mean that the graphics between both games are so similar.. At least we can call this an upgrade of the Spiderman game without the use of spider webs to go from ‘Point A to Point B’..

Instead, he is able to use parkour movements to travel around the city.. I do love the forms he can shape-shift into, from Heavy-melee to Shield on forearm.. You can also hijack vehicles just like in GTA games, just that this one if more in brute force.. xD

I might give this game a try when it is out on June this year but I doubt this would make the top game to play.. I am still waiting for the release of Bioshock 2 though.. ^^
