Damn, how did I not see this coming. Damn damn damn.
The girls find out that they aren’t officially recognised as a real club, and need a club advisor to hand in a club application form. Turning to the only music teacher they know, AKA Sawako, Yui realises she resembles one of the previous light club’s members, and her actions to try and destroy all evidence of that fact proves it.
Ritsu then forces her to become the advisor via blackmail, and all of them try to prepare for the upcoming school festival performance which (by the end of the episode) is in 3 days.
Second time I’m seeing this in an anime.
I laughed the most during this episode (which goes to show how shallow my sense of humour is), especially the part where the gang find out Yui lost her voice after practicing too hard under Sawako. Yui trying hint to Ritsu that she wants to sing is also another LOL moment.
Also, FINALLY someone (in the anime) realises that all four members of the club aren’t all that bright, even when they’re together. No prizes for guessing who. \o/
Sawako also really fails at trying to act cute and innocent, especially in front of the very people who’ve discovered her secret. Her personality change upon picking up Yui’s guitar (and subsequent “anger moments”) doesn’t help either. Guess you can’t throw old habits away.
The arrow points to happiness.
The episode also hints (very heavily) how Tsumugi’s into girl–girl relationships. However, only Ritsu’s fully aware of this, though Yui was the first to notice (but then again, it was very obvious).
The EYES.
I’m not sure if it’s just me, but I’m beginning to see a slight degradation in quality. If I’m right, I hope it doesn’t happen again in future episodes…though Murphy’s law always applies. T-T
Can’t wait for their performance next episode…and their new member 2 episodes after that. :3
