Above image summarises this post. Yes I know this title was probably expected.
Episode summary: Azusa finally agrees to join the club, but quickly finds out that they’re all apparently a bunch of slackers and idiots (i.e. dojikko). She nearly quits the club after repeatedly attempting to tolerate their wacky hijinks, but can’t decide since she’s somehow attracted to something in the light music club. Mio (clearly the only mature one) manages to convince her to return (after the club holds a performance in front of her).
Yes, people, there is drama in this episode. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Ayana Taketatsu does a good job at weeping and causing lots of teary drama. But ever since when have I even tried analyzing voice actors.
Also, the episode starts with Ritsu and Yui greeting Azusa by shaking her hand, and Azusa looks like she’s a bit too relaxed, especially after what happened when we last left the club. Animation error much?
Oh yes, did anyone notice that they changed the K-ON! opening sequence? No? Well, let me show you the differences so you don’t have to bother analysing!

And here’s the opening sequence itself if you’re not satisfied:
Notice that Azusa turns the exact same way in almost every shot of the band playing.
And the moment you’ve all been waiting for!
Haha, just kidding. Now here it is:
Yes…just yes.
Next episode: The club goes on a summer camp to practice heywaitwherehaveIheardthisbefore.
Yeah. The anime’s going to repeat a few jokes and revisit a few places, so just bear with it. Happened in the manga too, so… :/

DAMN IT! They added Azu-nyan’s guitar in the opening theme! Notice it on 0:50-1:00. I can just see me spending another 200 yen on Cagayake!GIRLS v2 feat. Azu-nyan on the iTunes Store… T_T
Oh, and while Manga Azu-nyan is better than Anime Azu-nyan, I do like her the best in the anime – especially because of that last two image above. She makes me hate Mio even more for some reason… >_>;;

I kinda thought it sounded slightly different, but unfortunately I never trust RAWs to carry over the sound right. >.>
I guess that qualifies as an official OP2 song? :3
Hmm, I don’t think it qualifies as an OP2 song – it’s just like the Japanese Pokemon Anime. Whenever the main characters catch a new Pokemon, the Pokemon’s added to the OP video and the song’s changed a little, but it’s still the same OP song. And the title of this song is still Cagayake!GIRLS anyways. But, seeing as how K-ON! is a huge success and is sitting at the top of the iTunes Music Chart, why won’t they sell another version of it and call it “Azu-nyan’s version” or something? >_>;;

You’re still up? You watched it an hour ago, didn’t you… for her Twintails. I watched it for the nekomimi :3

well the “new” OP sequences looks cheaply done. everything is the same except for the the adding in of azusa in a few scenes. it’s inconsistent since she appear in some scenes and not in some.
lastly i think azu-nyan needs a cuter voice. my humble 2 cents.
Why must they superimposed Azusa into the OP, oh why.. >.<
But hey, I still love the part where she looks “GAR” when she is playing her guitar.. XD
The animation is getting stilted, not as smooth as the first few episodes. It’s like Soul Eater again…

As long as they don’t try any courage crap, we’re cool.
YOUR RIGHT
I just hope that Yui can successfully protect her ricebowl for the next few episodes ^^;
I DID NOT UNDERSTAND IT WHY IS AZUSA CRYING
