Well, just a few more days more till the release of SEGA’s Hatsune Miku Project DIVA and we could see more advertising done by SEGA.. XD They are so good that they decided to promote the game more than just utilising the typical internet by using the Playstation release of their “Second Life” application called the Playstation Home..

So how did they promote Project DIVA on Playstation Home? There are 2 events SEGA made; “Lost Article” and “Music Box”.. First of all, lets talk about “Lost Article” shown in the above picture.. In this event, SEGA somewhat placed 3 type of items relating to Hatsune Miku somewhere in the game; either her headpiece, her leek or her sleeves.. Not much is said about this event so I might update again if more details appear..

Next up is the “Music Box” event.. For this event, SEGA starts off with placing a 3D model of Hatsune Miku on top of a high ledge at the main square as a teaser.. People were quite surprised on why Miku was in Playstation Home in the first place since there weren’t any announcement made about it yet..

In the coming days, they decided to change her position into an indoor area on a “Music Box”.. It displays every event from SEGA and Piapro regarding Project DIVA and some other game-related stuff (Since I don’t have a PS3 to begin with).. Anyway, after that, they shift her to the outside again, this time on a bench at a very secluded spot..

However, the area in front of her is blocked to prevent ppl from “overgathering”, thus blocking other people’s view.. Well, more is said in these 2 videos I saw on Youtube.. Enjoy~

Miku in Playstation Home 2:

In video number 2, SEGA put an extra effort in advertising the game in the theater.. Well, although some people think of this actions as overrated, I think that SEGA did a smart thing by promoting the game through other means instead of just the standard internet.. Doing this via Playstation Home Japan does makes Project DIVA more known and might help them in sales when the game is released this coming 2nd July..

I do wonder if SEGA also do these things on the English version of Playstation home?? =3
