Tired of waiting for 2 July? Open up this post to have a try-out (no input support yet though).
A chap by the name of rainbowsazaki got bored and decided to code a simple Project DIVA engine in Javascript.
It works by overlaying a “stage” DIV over a Youtube video (which is loaded via Javascript into another DIV underneath), and the timings and positions of the keys on the “stage” DIV are stored in another Javascript file.
I’ve IFrame-d it for you so you can try it right here. Have a go, but see-no-touch I’m afraid. I guess keyboard support would take a bit more effort. You’ll need to have Javascript enabled though.
I realise this was made way back in April, but I think it’s so epic that it deserves a post anyway.
If the IFrame doesn’t show anything, do comment…it was the only way I could think of hosting a demo without actually hosting anything. lol
