For the past week (especially for the past few days) I’ve been attempting to rush a piece of software in time for my Final Year Project presentation yesterday.

This was also the reason why my presence essentially disappeared, to the point that I had to give the recent STGCC a miss, and had to leave all the event (and cosplay) coverage to my brother.

The reason I had to seriously rush the project was that I had seriously underestimated the volume of work I still had remaining before the fateful day of the presentation (which was just yesterday btw). To make matters worse, I had also kept my teammates in the dark about the volume of work I still had left till Thursday the previous week.

We had to rush code for a working prototype in such a short amount of time (one week for a full-blown system), and it even came to the point of us staying overnight at a friend’s house just to code the night before the presentation, and not having any sleep at all.

Needless to say, the presentation sucked since we didn’t have time to prepare (and the application crashed too), so…yeah. Huge disappointment there.

Obviously there were many regrets regarding the project…and I have little more to add to that except than to thank everyone who gave me support in my time of need:

  • FarizAsuka and the rest of my family for all those words of confidence and support
  • My teammates who continued to support me (instead of completely blaming me for this incident)
  • My understanding lecturers, nothing else to add here >.<
  • You guys for supporting the blog, thanks for all the hits!

Now that the whole hell’s over (though there’s still stuff to code for the company involved), you’ll probably see more of me in the weeks to come here. I’ll start attending events again. In fact, there’ll be a Natsu Matsuri event this weekend, and since I missed it the previous year…now’s a good time as any. Anyone else wanna come along? Tickets are going at $2 a pop.

Also, thanks for reading this post from top to bottom. I have to apologise for being so melodramatic, but I just felt that I had to let this out.

Signing off,

Fuzzy
