I’m sure you’re already aware of the Miku FES’09 event that took place (obviously) on Miku’s birthday. You probably know only those who bought tickets (be it for the live concert or the online stream) had access to the actual performances.

Well, not any more. Watch it, though, there’s a lot of embedded videos in this post (though not as much as the other one)

(Yeah, this is late. I’m sorry.)

In case you’re wondering, Miku isn’t actually on-stage, nor is she a 3-dimensional hologram. She’s in fact projected onto a transparent screen on-stage…no, make that 3 transparent screens. I guess technology hasn’t progressed that far yet.

Hell, I wish I could’ve been there. Alas, I’m not as free as everyone who managed to turn up for the concert. ^.^

Here’s a performance list (with videos), courtesy of Kazearashi. I’m not gonna embed his Dailymotion videos, not because I’m being rude, but because Dailymotion is. Their embeds don’t actually work at all (at least not on my machine), simply opening another window to their site instead of playing. –_-

You have to give the guy credit though. He sacrificed his Youtube account just to bring you those videos (though if you searched high and low enough you just might find them zipped up somewhere). *claps*

1. ika & MOSAIC.WAV

ika, creator of the famous Miku punching song, and MOSAIC.WAV, combining forces to bring you 4 songs, including said famous Miku punching song. They even aired the 3DPV version, too.

M02. 電気の恋人 -I am Programmer’s Song- /* VL-3901mkII */
M03. HATSUNEtive

Ah, good times. Of course, I don’t recognise M02 and M03, but still.

Yes. That is デッドボールP. Live on-stage. Wearing nothing more than panties.

(MEGA Mix)

3. Team MOER (doriko, OSTER project & 19’s sound factory)

…what oh it’s time for the 3rd group to head on up.

I didn’t expect this team-up in any case. Koisuru VOCALOID sounds more awesome in a concert setting, what with all the screaming fans. “ONE TWO THREE FOUR!”

Priceless.

M11. 恋スルVOCALOID
M14. Dear

4. kz (livetune)

Woo best Miku trance composer ever (in my personal opinion, anyway). We’ve covered his albums here before, but his first song, which is a Love is War remix, hasn’t been released anywhere (not even online…legally) except for EAGER LOVE REVENGE. I gave that a listen, and it’s actually pretty cool in itself (though I still prefer badass guitars and drums).

M15. Remix
M17. FarAway
M18. Heart Beat
M19. Crosslight
M20. Packaged (kisk baker’s Yogamix)
M21. Last Night, Good Night [mononofrog_4sk cutup edit (kz re:edit)]

All the songs are played in one continuous swoop by the way. Ah, I should probably give that Re:packaged album FarizAsuka bought a listen again. So nostalgic~

5. ryo (supercell)

He starts off with the same song as kz. I’m surprised he didn’t go with his 1M mix of Love is War, considering he released it in the very same album.

M26. メルト

While it’s not in the list, the performance (included in the video) ends with a “Happy Birthday To You” song to Miku. Aww. <3

Truly, to come all this way from an internet “fad” to a live concert performance…it really has been an epic journey for the VOCALOID franchise…and it’d be even more epic down the road. *sighs*

Well, if you’ll excuse me, I’ll have to retire to bed. ( ^.^)/
