This remind you of anything?

If you’re feed reader (for those of you that subscribe to our feed) has been updating quite a bit yesterday, don’t fret; it’s just me fixing up the website feed just right.
Till now we’ve adopted the “full feed” method; posts get aggregated in the feed in their entirety. This is especially useful for those who don’t really have time to open a new window just to read our post, preferring to scroll through whatever feed reader client they’re using.
Recently though, Kazearashi mentioned that the recent Miku FES’09 post was a bit taxing on his computer. This led me to a dilemma: Do I let the readers read the entire post in their feed readers and risk lagging them with excessive media, or truncate them and force them to click a link back to the blog?
For now, I’ve chosen the latter, and so far, it seems to be working out just fine. I do, however, like to reach out to our readers: Is this fine with you guys, or do you prefer the old feed method? Also, for those of you who own blogs, how do you optimise your feeds (if you do)?
Feel free to post your answers in the comments, whether it’s for the above question or for the question at the very top of this post (lolwut). =P
EDIT: Almost forgot, thanks for subscribing!

1st question’s answer: color schemes for the various Vocaloid characters. Don’t ask me which is which, though: I expect other commentators to answer them for me.
2nd question’s answer: You should optimise your feeds to show only the summaries that are necessary to attract readers’ attention. I advocate the need for a short summary of a post in the feeds, to attract readers to your blog (instead of, let’s say, mooching off the feed readers). It also enhance the user’s interactivity experience to your website. (A.k.a. you make the readers more inclined to leave a message to your post.)
I’ve been told that using full feeds increase the ratio of ‘intelligent’ comments to all comments, though obviously the number of page views suffer.
Personally, I don’t mind either.

No, you do not. =D
Giving full content can be a good thing and no I do not find the miku birthday event post with mulitple of youtube taxing as it only load when you click on the video to play. However for that post, you could put a caption on every one of them on top of the video as the description in the video is not complete. I have to scroll down to read what is the song all about and go up there to count which is which as I do not fully understand Japanese.
Hmm, point taken. Thanks. ^_^
I tend to preload feeds and read them on my ipod touch when I’m not at home (on the bus/train), partial feeds are no good for this reason :/
Guess you don’t like this anyway, because i won’t write comments like this
Well…for those interested in the old ‘full feed’, try this ^^

I’m starting to lean towards the idea of using dual feeds, meaning that there will be two feeds available: one containing full posts, another containing summaries.
While your suggestion is great, I’d like to try to not use too many external services. I think this blog has too much of that already. XD
I’ve disabled feed summaries for now, and when I can find the time I’ll try to work on the dual feeds feature so we can have the best of both worlds. XD
Thanks for the feedback guys! Really appreciate it!
this is not as bad as the haruhi’s one….. but i see em all too xD
