Of all the merchandise I thought the figure companies would produce… I didn’t expect this at all.

Especially not the leek car.

If the title isn’t obvious enough, these are pull-back cars based on the “representations” of Miku, Rin, Len and Luka.

Miku gets a leek, Luka gets a 4-wheeled tuna, and the Kagamine twins get the Road Roller. Each.

Here’s a size comparison with the Nendoroid Petites, so you can see how tiny they are. I guess it’ll be really hard to get a clear photo of them (unless you have a DSLR and a good lens).

Here’s a video of Rin’s Road Roller in action:

I’m guessing the lack of speed is based on design and not a flaw, since only the Road Rollers appear to have this trait.

The pull-back cars are also designed to only use up their stored energy when the figure is placed on the seat of the vehicle.

And if that isn’t enough, the pull-back cars appear to have their unique quirks. While the Road Rollers don’t do well as racing vehicles, Luka’s tuna zooms past before you can blink.

Miku’s leek car is able to switch between two gears; first it’ll travel at a speed not unlike that of the Road Rollers before zooming off suddenly.

Would we be buying it? Nah. I don’t know about you, but this just seems like a gimmicky ploy to lose more money over. In fact, the only one I would even come close to consider buying is the Rin pull-back car, and even then, it’s not really worth it.

If you’re still willing though, Hobby Search is taking pre-orders for all the cars at 1,339¥ each. You can also pre-order a full set from AmiAmi at about 4,540¥.

Thanks for pointing this out, Nano.
