As part of a campaign organised by Microsoft’s Bing search engine, these 10 new character themes (2 for each new character) have been released for download. Some Japanese have to do the legwork of actually using Bing such that the searches fill up an XP (see what I did there?) meter to unlock these moe-some characters for you to download and fap to use.
Normal Windows 7 users can simply download the themepack and double click to load them. Abnormal Vista and old-fashioned XP users can also download the wallpapers and sounds and MANUALLY(what FAIL) put them in themselves…
Choose from the below names.
- Nanae (A very OL-ish character design)
- NANA (A LOLI imouto character)
- Nanako (A childhood friend character)
- the other Nanami (Microsoft’s Android) <- See what i did there?
- Nanao (Tomboyish character)

Which seiyuu is doing what character anyways?
I personally can’t dig out the info that you want to know. Apparently, this doesn’t get as much coverage as the W7 OS-tan Nanami.

Well I did hear Fujita Saki, Imai Asami, and two others, but these two names were prominent. I would have Fujita (Vocaloid’s Miku’s voice sample) but since I do not use Win7 anyway…

It was quite funny when I turned on my notebook at school during a lesson and, well, you know, there’s that great “Ah! Okaeri!” start-up sound ^^

why good themes are only for Japan users??
Everyone can use it. You just have to navigate that bit of Japanese in order to download the themepacks. Afterwards, it’s just to double click to load the theme.

First of all, what the flying. I assume this is some marketing strategy by Microsoft Japan to appeal to ‘otakus’, which is brilliant IMO, but it still astounds me.
Second, the number of “see what i did there” phrases makes it look like you think our readers are-OH CRAP DON’T STAB ME
Third, I think I’ll give them a go. Sounds interesting enough. Also, if anyone knows the seiyuu (don’t look at me, I haven’t recognized them enough) do comment! \o/

I downloaded the themepack and it won’t open….do you know if it’s required to download a Japanese program first? ;_;
The themepack files are for Windows 7 only. Just opening the file will set the theme within your Windows 7 PC. There is absolutely no need for any other software.
If you are using either Vista or XP, you need to download the wallpapers and soundpack SEPARATELY, and modify them yourself.

Are you sure these sites are working? Because I cannot access them, I keep getting 404 error messages in Japanese.
