Finally, after a month of cleaning up backlogs, I got to complete my review on another figurine, not 1 but 2 in the same post.. Simple, I got this figurines; the Lucky Star OVA figurines by SEGA.. The characters are actually the Konata Witch Ver. and the Kagamin “Miku” Ver. or Kagamiku for short..

It is part of a UFO catcher set by SEGA where you have to grab them in the UFO Catcher machines found mainly in Japan.. I got these 2 at a price of SGD$50+ per set.. My main purpose was to only get Kagamiku but the shop owner didn’t allow individual purchase for that set so yeah thats how I got both Konata and Kagamin.. XD

So let us begin with Konata Witch Costume Ver. … Judging between this and the character in the OVA video itself, I say that the figurine shows a more mature look than what the anime potrayed her.. Although it looks like you can pull out her cape and witch hat, sadly you cant; all are fixed onto her.. =3

She looks really detailed but what I find weird is her hands which is supposed to make a heart shape like what the preview artwork showed.. There are also some “PVC lines” on her which kinda spoils the overall look if you look at her closely..

It is more obvious to spot them on Konata’s hair (below)..

Apart from that, I’m still happy to get her in the end cause she looks very nice indeed.. A pity that she doesn’t fit that well with my Hatsune Miku collection.. XD

Now let us move on to the 2nd character of the set, Kagamiku.. The one which attracted my attention, this figurine has some good details, from the “K *” logo on Kagamiku’s arm to her sleeves.. Not to forget the shiny outfit which alot of Hatsune Miku figurines have..

This is the preview pic which I posted back in December 2009.. Its been quite a hectic month since I have to juggle between my NS time and my normal life so I put this post on hold back then.. A very subtle pic which almost inspired me to post this on my DeviantArt account..

Being a SEGA figurine, there will be bound some little mistakes done on the figurine itself.. For Kagamiku, I found one which is her right eye (From picture’s perspective).. Her eye pupil is painted slightly off, making Kagamiku looks abit weird if you look at her from the front..

Good thing that she still looks pretty from other angles (not low-angle lolz).. She also doesn’t have that much “PVC lines” which Konata has and her pose is good for doing figurine shoots..

Another problem is attaching her into the base.. Picture describe a thousand words so I let you have a look at the picture below..

Other than that, Kagamiku looks presentable and lovely at the same time..

Overall, I find both figurines are quite well-made even for a UFO Catcher figurines.. SEGA fared better in making these figurines than the previous Hatsune Miku figurine I got 2 years back..

There is another figurine done by SEGA which I’ll gonna post about it soon.. I still have other Hatsune Miku figurines to review on so do wait for it.. XD

The only thing that bothers me other then the visable lines, is like. What looks like fat-bulge coming from Kagami’s shoes. /shiver I mean, it of course, shouldn’t be straight, but the leg shouldn’t curve in like that.

    Poor Kagami will get self-concious.
Other then that, I think they’re super cute. ;__; I actually plan on going to Japan in the near future. Hopefully I can win at a UFO catcher? :D ?

They look quite good when youre keeping in mind that these are “cheap” UFO Catcher figures.I have the Shunya Yamashita DOA Girls from their UFO Catcher Line from last year and while theyre far from perfect I still like them for what they are.

I dont like the way their eyes look though.cant pinpoint what it is but something seems wrong
