Waking up to see this totally killed all my morning fatigue. 8D

The 1/8 scaled figure will be released by Max Factory in July 2010 (tentatively).

Let me put up the artwork (by Nagimiso if you didn’t already know) for reference, and start criticising the figure, as a Rin fan.

  • The costume design totally matches the original illustration. I love the attention to detail here. The dull gold finish on the guitar strap-chain is <3
  • Though the posing doesn’t match at all, it doesn’t fail to depict Rin’s bad-assery.
  • The guitar design looks way cooler than the flat one in the original illustration. Slightly disappointed that it’s an almost-completely original design, though. But still.
  • The base looks bloody awesome. The compression of detail looks very well done, and I don’t really mind the omission of the nuclear logo.

Dislikes:

  • The hair. The hair on her head seems a tad too neat, and the exaggerated twin-tails is almost reminiscent of Miku’s hairstyle. No, this will not do at all.
  • The face feels totally off. It’s probably because of her eyes. ( *A*)
  • The red wire. While I do appreciate the addition of the headphones at the back of her head, the red wire just seems…I dunno, out of place?

I would definitely put all my money on this…if the head and face design didn’t ruin it. The attention to detail is superb, otherwise. Why, Max Factory, why?!

Price hasn’t been confirmed yet though, so for those of you who are aching to get this one, stay tuned!

Here’s the PV, by the way.

P.S. I still prefer the original.

Via wcloudx’s blog and Yuki-To’s tweet, thanks guys! =3
