Waking up to see this totally killed all my morning fatigue. 8D
The 1/8 scaled figure will be released by Max Factory in July 2010 (tentatively).
Let me put up the artwork (by Nagimiso if you didn’t already know) for reference, and start criticising the figure, as a Rin fan.

- The costume design totally matches the original illustration. I love the attention to detail here. The dull gold finish on the guitar strap-chain is <3
- Though the posing doesn’t match at all, it doesn’t fail to depict Rin’s bad-assery.
- The guitar design looks way cooler than the flat one in the original illustration. Slightly disappointed that it’s an almost-completely original design, though. But still.
- The base looks bloody awesome. The compression of detail looks very well done, and I don’t really mind the omission of the nuclear logo.
Dislikes:
- The hair. The hair on her head seems a tad too neat, and the exaggerated twin-tails is almost reminiscent of Miku’s hairstyle. No, this will not do at all.
- The face feels totally off. It’s probably because of her eyes. ( *A*)
- The red wire. While I do appreciate the addition of the headphones at the back of her head, the red wire just seems…I dunno, out of place?
I would definitely put all my money on this…if the head and face design didn’t ruin it. The attention to detail is superb, otherwise. Why, Max Factory, why?!
Price hasn’t been confirmed yet though, so for those of you who are aching to get this one, stay tuned!
Here’s the PV, by the way.
P.S. I still prefer the original.
Via wcloudx’s blog and Yuki-To’s tweet, thanks guys! =3

Oh my… Why do they have to make a lot of vocaloid scales recently… And all is awesome one… What should I do so I can close my eye and pass on this? Ugh…
But anyway, I agree that the face is a bit turn off to me… It somehow reminds me of the WIM figure which I pass, I think I might pass this, but… the other features is awesome… the guitars, the base o_o I think I will think about it when I know the price lol…

Now that you mention it, it does look kinda like VN02′s face.
The other features are awesome, but knowing Max Factory, you’ll have to part with quite a bit of cash to get it. (*A* )
I’ll be blunt. I don’t really find it quite nice.
BECAUSE IT DOES NOT FLAUNT RIN’S BEHIND.
Nah, her face looks off because if it reminded me of Misa from Deathnote instead of Rin, then something is definitely off here.
WHY O RIN’S HINDER REGiONS! >=(
Her face seems to be a bit off, no doubt about it. I think it’s actually the mouth that makes it off. The expression of the figure is anger, whereas in case of the original illustration it’s more of sadness, or rather solitude. But apart from the face, I really like this figure.

I screamed…..
Yea I think her face is rather off too, but after a while I actually prefer it that way because it gives off the angsty gothic rocker vibe
Yes her fringe looks a little too neat, compared to the hair at the side, probably because of the hairpin (?)
And I don’t think the red cable looks weird haha. I rock out in my room with headphones all the time (because I live in a dorm lol) and I think that’s what it’s supposed to look like
Actually, the original illustration manages to pull the messy hairstyle off with the hairpin.
Also, I kinda suspect the twin-tails are lifted so high because they were trying to squeeze the headphones in, and added the red cable for good measure.
What did they do to the innocent RIN!!!!
Don’t forget about the marisa figure!
the figure it self its very cool!!
AWESOME! I NEED IT!
