KITAAA~!
(Also, header image is fan-made. Don’t get too excited now.)
The latest issue of Famitsu revealed that a Project DIVA sequel will be made for the PSP. The tentative title of the game is “Hatsune Miku – Project DIVA 2nd”, and is slated for release on the 29th of July this year.
What’s that? NPNT (No Picture, No Talk)? Very well.

The first thing you’d notice is that the screenshot near the lower-right corner of the page has both Miku and Luka singing and dancing in unison; a step-up from the singles-only prequel. If you’re not convinced yet, they’re throwing in minato’s “magnet” into the song list, and there is no way you can pull it off without two singers.
The second thing you’d notice is that the button-mashing system got a little more complicated. You’ll have to hold the button at certain points (as seen in Project DIVA Arcade), and SEGA’s throwing in directional buttons too for good measure. I’m almost a little afraid of this game already. =3

Obviously, there are other changes, like new locations and modules/costumes. Once again, some of the costumes will be derived from submissions in another Piapro-hosted costume competition; and as of this writing, four of the winning entries have been converted into working 3D models.

Gawd, the designs look so freakin’ moe. I love the 2nd one the most out of these four.

Also, it looks like the other VOCALOIDs are getting the costume treatment as well! Can’t wait for this Rin one. ( *A*)
You can view the rest of the entries on the results page.
The only songs confirmed so far are “magnet” and doriko’s “Romeo And Cinderella”. If you’re not familiar with either song, here they are (respectively):
The price for this one? 6070 JPY (approximately 96 SGD). I’ll leave it to you to perform the conversion for your own currency for those of you not living in Singapore.
It goes without saying that I simply cannot wait to play this game, and there’s still the DLC for the first game, and the arcade game too.
P.S: Kitaa translates to “finally” in Japanese. Just so you know.

Edit: Pre-orders are up on AmiAmi, and they’re going for 4980 JPY each! We’ve already pre-ordered our copy, so get it while it’s hot!

Great, I have been dreaming of hold-down button elements a few weeks ago, and there they come. Wow, Project Diva DLC, Project Diva sequel… What’s next??
Oh yes, I noticed the diamond shape as one of the buttons required. What to do with them? Rotate the PSP??
I hope they have Black Rock Shooter in it this time.

Already pre-ordered the second I saw it up at AmiAmi. Looking forward to this, I’m actually waiting for the original Project Diva to show up in the mail. Just got myself a PSP recently XD

Project Diva sequel is coming for PSP as well
The first game isn’t bad, but for someone who is poor with rhythm games it took me some time to get used to the notes flying everywhere while Miku is distracting you now and then. In addition the timing is kinda crucial (man they might as well call “FINE” a “MISS” instead since that breaks the combo and hence mess up your score already). They are going to add the directional keys as well? I hope I can actually coordinate my fingers for the next game @_@
If there is one thing I do want them to improve then it is the scoring system. I seriously do not know how well (or how bad) I am doing and I don’t even know the pass line is. On the other hand for some songs I can do a Great in normal difficulty but only get Standard for easy on some of the songs – it’s really bizzare…
Well, maybe I can hope for some of these to improve for the future sequel. I will keep an eye on it then
Kitaa means “finally”?! Isn’t it more like “(it) has come” ala “来た”?

Oh YES! But I am really bad with those rhythm games and those need to follow the “beeps” one ^^;
ah!!
