The first DLC for Project DIVA is out!
I know I’m little late again, ごめんなさい~ (sorry)
For those of you that have already done your own research (or better yet, bought the DLC already), you might want to skip a few paragraphs for the new stuff. Then again, if you’ve bought it, you should be playing it right now.
Otherwise, let’s just preview what you’ll get for your 2000 JPY.
The DLC comes with a total of 9 new songs. I’ve mentioned it before, but for convenience’s sake here you go:
- 「1/6 -d2 mix-」 by Vocaliod-P
- 「Two Breaths Walking」 by DECO*27
- 「celluloid」 by baker remix:Aether_Eru
- 「Ura-Omote Lovers」 by wowaka(Genjitsutouhi-P) (video preview above)
- 「Alice-DIVA mix」 by furukawa
- 「Uta ni Katachi ha Nai Keredo」 by doriko
- 「SPiCa」 by Toku-P
- 「Puzzle」 by Kuwugata-P
- 「Hello, Planet. (I. M. PLSE-EDIT)」 by sasakure.UK
They’ll be playable from the in-game editor (if the “EDIT PLAY” at the end is any indication).
The 9 new songs will also be rendered in a higher-quality engine, and these PVs will be watchable from within the game (though in a separate menu).
I’ve embedded them in the order of the list above for your viewing pleasure:
1/6 -d2 mix-:
Two Breaths Walking:
celluloid:
Ura-Omote Lovers:
Alice-Diva mix:
Uta ni Katachi ha Nai Keredo:
SPiCa:
Puzzle:
Hello, Planet. (I. M. PLSE-EDIT):
The engine doesn’t look like it’s Dreamy Theater, or even Arcade for that matter. Probably a separate engine for another platform? :O
The game comes with a custom PSP theme too, though I’ve not seen any screenshots of it in action (yet). =3
And finally, you’ll get the official “Hello, Planet” game. 4 levels of 8-bit Miku goodness. The BGM for the first level is the fully 8-bit version of the song with the same name, and the Statue of (Rin) Liberty is LOL.
Here’s another gameplay video, posted up like last month (how did I miss this?):
While the new songs and the pre-rendered PVs are a little disappointing (that’s for another post), I can’t wait to get my hands on the mini-game. It seems a little short though, and the ending is obviously going to be bitter-sweet.
In any case, you’ll need a PSN account to download it, and according to the download page, it’ll take up 350MB on your memory stick. I don’t have a credit card, so I think I’ll pass on getting it (for now ;D).
Anyone else tried it yet? Also, a Toeto game for the next DLC in spring? Damn, I’m slow. (;>_<)\

My favorite video: puzzle. Well, the others has very good Miku’s animations. ^^
phossil´s last blog ..Earth Hour 2010
I believe a couple of the videos and titles are mixed up. The video under “Unformed” is SPiCa and the one under “SPiCa” is Puzzle… not familiar with the song Unformed but I assume that’s the one under “Puzzle” since Hello Planet is with the right title.
This is pretty cool by the way. I dunno if some songs are really the kind you could dance to though… a few of the routines looked a little odd paired with the song. But it’s awesome to see some of my favorite songs getting added to Project Diva.
Thanks for the heads up! I mixed up SPiCA, Puzzle and “Unformed” since they were the very same videos I forgot to double-check. That’s what I get for posting so late at night again. >_<;
I’ve also corrected the name of “Unformed”; the real title is “Uta ni Katachi ha Nai Keredo”, which roughly translates to “Though songs have no shape”. “Unformed” is actually the name of the song’s album. Since there’s no clear translation, I’ll just leave it in its romanized form.
Also, the main reason the routines look a little strange is due to the fact that there are apparently no custom animations included; they’re all stock animations out of the in-game editor. The developers restricted themselves to that for some reason. =/
Once again, thanks for the correction! ( *A*)
Great one! Hope all of us can get our hands on it ^^
if you hear slowly all the stages of hello planet are remixes of the same song
