Update: this post is now outdated, as the VOCALOID in question is not Rio. Read this post instead.

Yamaha’s official twitter recently announced that a new Vocaloid (not VY1) would be revealed at the Sanrio booth held at Comiket 78. According to this tweet by Tomohide Ogata (AHS) and Hatsune MikuMiku blog, it appears to be from AH-Software.

It is none other than Rio (above), originally a Hello Kitty to Issho! kittyler illustrated by Hatsune Miku character designer KEI.

AH-Software is currently developing her voicebank and it should be ready in the near future.  Rio also appears in the PSP game, Hello Kitty to Issho! Block Crash 123!!.

Here is the game trailer video~
