Clannad Ep 24 – Tomoyo’s Chapter

The wait is finally over.. After months of waiting, I finally saw the special episode of Clannad; Episode 24 – Tomoyo’s Chapter.. This is meant as the last episode of Clannad though this is an alternate ending like in the game..

The show starts off as Tomoya is woken up by Tomoyo early in the morning for school.. There is a twist here however; Tomoya telling Tomoya that she is his girlfriend now and she mustn’t waste her time waking him up..

The couple then went to school together to an empty classroom waiting for the results of the student council president election.. They were very happy when the result was out; Tomoyo was the new president of the student council.. Tomoyo then asked Tomoya whether he would stay by her side all the way which he answered “YES!!”

After school, Tomoyo was congratulated by the students for winning the vote.. As she was congratulated by them, Tomoya oveheard the students suddenly talking about the relationship between him; the delinquent and Tomoyo; the new student council president…

The next day Tomoyo brings Tomoya and Sunohara lunch as per usual. As she leaves, classmates starts gossiping about the relationship that Tomoyo and Tomoya shares… Tomoyo suddenly becomes very busy with the workload of a student council president due to the school’s upcoming festival..

Because of this she ends up using the PA system for personal reasons, which annoys the teachers a lot… This started off the problems between Tomoyo and Tomoya…

During the school’s festival, Tomoyo disguised herself in a “pedobear” costume so that she can have a secret date with Tomoya.. The trick worked but when the couple was about to kiss, they were suddenly interrupted by a student council member..

As Tomoyo leaves to attend to student council matters, this council member and Tomoya exchange words about Tomoyo… He warns Tomoya about how much he is dragging Tomoyo down from her goal of preserving the sakura trees, leaving Tomoya in great despair..

So on a date after school, Tomoya decided to break up with Tomoyo, but not without having to hear Tomoyo disagreeing with him and telling him that she loved him very much..

She told him that he would have trouble keeping up with school and lunch without her.. However, Tomoya took a firm stand, which resulted in Tomoyo just saying goodbye to him and left, resulting in him breaking into tears..

Since that day on, Tomoya learn how to wake up early for school, pay attention in class and stop being truant, which his teacher felt quite amazed..

In the same period, Tomoyo not only excel in being just a president of the student council, she also got 4th place in the nationals examination and gave talks with universities representatives… (I find her english accent quite funny, but at least I can understand what she was saying..)

It came at a price; Tomoya stopped talking to Tomoyo and also looked away if he saw her.. (I find this quite sad..)

Tomoya did better for his academic interests, though his past records of misconduct in school gave him a very bad report, which sadden him further… Both Sunohara and Tomoya go for job interviews… Snohara dyed his hair black which Tomoya find it amusing.. Tomoya did got a job in a recycling company near town…

So after the graduating ceremony, Tomoya decided to leave early rather than having to join for dinner in school.. On the way, he runs into Tomoyo.. Tomoyo tells Tomoya that she has been waiting for the chance to tell him that she has succeeded in stopping the sakura trees from cutting down..

Tomoya then talked about their future… He told Tomoyo that due to his job he will be staying in the same town while Tomoyo, who will be graduating next year, will be moving away to study in a university… Tomoyo however disagrees by saying that she will be staying by Tomoya’s side…

Tomoya wasn’t sure about what she said and tried to debate on that, but Tomoyo interrupts by saying that her love for Tomoya is more valuable then academic performance… She then tells Tomoya that she will go to wherever he is.. This resulted in him realizing the truth and he is suddenly free from the obstacle that he faced before the break-up..

He then return her feelings by saying that he will also go to wherever she is… Tomoyo, touched by his words, starts crying. The 2 of them embraced in tears… ( So romantic ^^)

The story ends off with Tomoya in his recycling work outfit walking across the train crossing and on the other end is Tomoyo waiting for him so that she can give him his bento box..

This wait is certainly worth it.. The episode is amazing, I was moved by the great storyline, seriously.. I almost cried near the end of the show.. (I’m the guy who cant hold back tears during any emotional show..) OK.. I did cry during that scene, can’t help it.. :(

Anyway, I am happy that the Clannad ended in a great note.. It has now tempt me to get the Tomoyo After game.. XD

I wonder if there is anymore scene with Tomoyo in pedobear costume.. XD

Well, I shall now wait for Clannad Nagisa After story.. Hope will be as great as this one.. ^^

I would like to make 2 entries into one today since both of these shows just ended at the same week.. It is about Clannad and H2O ~Footprints In The Sand~.. So, please enjoy!!

H2O ~Footprints In The Sand~ Ep12:

From where the episode left off, we saw the elder trying to kill Hayami but was stopped by Takuma.. They were saved from the village elder’s wrath when Hotaru and Takuma’s uncle arrives with the police soon on their way there..

Hayami and Takuma’s uncle tried to call out Takuma’s name but he responded by calling out his mum.. Hotaru told her grandfather that his title as village elder is no more and that she will take over the elder’s position…

Hotaru later told the police about what really happened, who then place her grandfather in jail.

Unfortunately, Takuma’s mentality has experienced a drastic change, shifting to a child-like state, with the belief that Hayami is his mother..

Following the doctor’s advice, Hayami told everyone that she will be going to Tokyo where she could help with Takuma who is undergoing further treatment..

Life goes well for the two.. Hayami found a job as a newspaper delivery girl.. She still writes back to the village about their lives at the city..

On certain occasions, Takuma still recalls Hayami to some extent, much to the delight from Hayami herself..

Then on one fateful day, Hayami leaves Takuma’s side to go to the aid of a child on the railroad tracks, leading Takuma to remember that his mother had never committed suicide, but had attempted to save a life…

Upon realising this, he regains his sight and mentality, but is unable to stop Hayami from crossing in front of an oncoming train…

Years passed, and Takuma returns to the village… After building a windmill together with his uncle on the very same hill where he met Hayami, he thinks of her, and encounters a younger version of Otoha, who mentions something about convincing the Spirit Council..

He was confused as to what Otoha was talking about.. But as Otoha leaves, he was shocked to see Hayami walking up the hill and realises that she was brought back to life..

With that, the show ends with Takuma and Hayami together again… Such a good ending for a very dramatic show..

Now onto Clannad..

Clannad Ep22:

After Nagisa finds out about her parents’ secret past, she cannot take her mind off how she ruined their dreams, and becomes emotional and depressed.

Tomoya tried his best to cheer her up, telling her that it will be a waste of effort if she still feeling depress about her parent’s past..

On the day of the school festival, the whole theater club realizes that Nagisa is not herself, and try to cheer her up, but to no success…

Even Sunohara tried his very best to cheer Nagisa by teaching her a charm he creates.. The charm works by writing down a character ( in this case a kanji would suffice )on your palm and pretend to eat it..

But he still sucks at writing kanji which is pointd out by Kotomi..

Tomoya still put in alot of effort to bring Nagisa around the school festival in hopes that she would forget about it and have fun doing the performance..

However as the performance starts, Nagisa suddenly breaks down.. Tomoya didn’t close the curtains, much to the orders given from his friends to do so..

But Akio suddenly appears and gave some encouragement, who said that Sanae’s and his dream was for Nagisa to make her dream come true..

With that, Nagisa came to her senses, wiped her tears and starts the play..

The play ended in a huge success with everyone clapping for joy..

After the festival ended, the group decided to enjoy the rest of their day by clelbrating the success of the Threater Club’s first performance.. They also partied at Sunohara’s house, much to the dismay of Sunohara himself..

The next day both Tomoya and Nagisa went out together for the whole day.. As the sun is setting, Tomoya finally confesses his love to Nagisa in the club room..

This comes as a shock for Nagisa, causing her to cry tears of joy…

And the show ends happily there..

Not to forget the 3D animation ending about the robot and the girl which is nice..

Long story short, I find both anime to end at the right note.. The ending in H2O was awesome though I noticed that it will be a great miracle to bring someone from the dead.. But it is still nice to see Takuma reunited with his love, Hayami in the end..
This show isn’t as bad as Myself;Yourself where the faces of the twins wouldn’t be shown..

As for Clannad, it ends just nice when Tomoya confess his love to Nagisa.. Truly epic.. At least the show didn’t end half-happy, half-sad..

To end this entry, I want to thanked everyone for supporting these 2 animes.. And I also like to thank the people who made these animes a huge success with a great ending..

With that, I bid Farewell to both Clannad and H2O ~Footprints In The Sand~..

Clannad Ep21

Nagisa is making a lot of progress, on the play for the Theater Club, with the support of everyone.

When Nagisa and Tomoya return home, Akio is there to greet them and shows them a video of a theatrical play, to watch as a reference.

The funny part is that Nagisa have not seen a play before in her life, much to the shock of Tomoya since everyone know that Nagisa is the president of the Theatre Club..

Thats gonna leave a mark..

The next day at the club, everyone is discussing what music to use. Rie and her choir group drop by to give their opinion.

Then came along Tomoyo Sakagami.. As head of the student council, she came to take a look at the progress of the Theatre Club..

She congratulates Nagisa on making this far to making a play for the school festival..

On the next day, Nagisa was so concentrated on her script, she didn’t take notice about her surrounding.. Even Tomoya tried to test her by saying that she looks Kawaii but fail..

He even have to guide her to avoid hitting the lamppost..

In school, the group were doing their rehearsal.. Nagisa told everyone that she felt nervous of doing the play.. Pretty good reason since she recently seen the play on tv and she would be the only one facing the audience on the day itself..

Sunohara, being a joker tries to help calm her down by telling her to imagine that the human race survival against the alien depends on her play..

If she does it right, the alien won’t attack.. But if it didn’t work out..

With everything from practices to the rehearsal moving along smoothly, Nagisa and everyone else are clearly aiming to make this play a success.

However, it was not as it seems as Nagisa later found out about her parent’s past in the picture books left in the shed.. She was there to look for batteries for her torchlight..

Tomoya, who couldn’t sleep, saw her looking at the pictures.. He told Nagisa to focus more about the play and to go back to sleep while he gathers all the pictures on the floor..

Akio-san, who heard the ruckus, went to the room and saw the whole thing.. He then blamed himself for not hiding the books properly and also told Tomoya that this isn’t a good time for her to find the truth about them..

Well, it’s sad to see Nagisa found out the truth about her parents.. She should have found out about it earlier since she has a play to do.. But truth really hurts no doubt.. But with Tomoya there, he might able to snap her out of it in the next episode judging by the trailer..

Oh yes.. Tomoyo Sakagami and Sunohara looks more mature than in the earlier part of the series.. Sunohara still have some comic relief but he gave a helping to set up the stage and stuff..

Tomoya on the other hand, being an underclassman is more like a senior to Tomoya and his group.. She told Nagisa how lucky she is to be chosen by Tomoya.. This (1) gave some kind of closure for the other girls’ feeling towards Tomoya. The very fact that they are still happily helping out Nagisa for the theater club proves it.

And wearing the glasses, she looks so cool.. Well, I will wait for the last episode of the series to catch the end result.. It’s sad to see Clannad ending already..

Clannad Ep20

Yup, this week’s episode of Clannad is a very very sad story..

Well, the story begin with Akio showing Tomoya the most colourful bread ever seen, Rainbow bread..

Ooooo… Shiny..

Anyway, the story starts to get funny when Yukine-chan taught the boys; Tomoya and Sunohara another charm to attract girls to them which Sunohara did in an instance..

First you have to make a heart using your thumb and index finger.. Then you must chant 3 times; ” To love, To be loved, To dump, To be dumped”..

Then you have to walk around the area of the building you are in once and the first girl to speak to you might be interested in you..

Well, it doesn’t really work on Sunohara pretty well.. He gets emotional because he walked around school 5 times but no girls talk to him..

I pity you Sunohara..

Then we see some antics from Fuko too when Tomoya asked her to act like a zombie to ward against ‘bears’ that have entered the school area..

Now this is where the real story starts… Akio-san wants to reveal why he and Sanae-san quit their job to take care of Nagisa.. Akio told Tomoya to keep it a secret but Akio-san, being abit dumb, ask Sanae for a cup of tea, which kinda contradict what he just said to Tomoya..

Next hiding spot; behind the house.. Sanae-san gave both of them the tea Akio-san asked for.. And he stupidly reminds Tomoya in from of Sanae-san..

Final and last hide-out; the rooftop.. Abit odd don’t you think??

We are just sightseeing..

Finally, Akio-san can reveal the secret to Nagisa’s past.. He told Tomoya that when she was young, Akio and Sanae have their own job to take care.. One day, Nagisa fell sick.. However, the nursery was closed due to snow but Akio and Sanae got to do their job to have the financial support for their family..

Even though Akio did a 2-hour job, he was very shocked to find young Nagisa lying outside on the snow.. Knowing she must have waited for him, he quickly went to her side and called a doctor..

So Akio and Sanae made a vow to be always be together with Nagisa..

That night, Akio planned to have one of 3 things to do on Sunday..

Picric Acid isn’t an action..

Tomoya, feeling abit guilty that he stayed at Nagisa’s home, decided to pay a visit to Sunohara’s dormitory.. However, Sunohara, being serious in this episode, told Tomoya that he is the pillar of strength for Nagisa..

Tomoya decides to come back to Nagisa’s home and shocked to see Nagisa and hr family waiting for him.. So they played baseball nearby the park… Akio-san was being funny again when he teased Nagisa whether she like Tomoya or not, which she accidently said..

However, the episode kinda stop at this part.. bit disappointed with the cut but kinda makes me want to make for the next episode..

The joker in episode 20 is Akio-san while Sunohara bowed down from his usual antics and became a serious dude afte all.. Though it will be 2-3 more episodes to go till the show ends.. Hope nothing bad will happen at the end of this series..

Clannad Ep19

Finally, the show is back on the road after 2 weeks of inactivity.. I don’t know the reason for that but what the heck.. This episode proves itself being as interesting as it would be..

In this episode, Tomoya’s teacher wanted to pay a visit to Tomoya’s dad.. Tomoya knowing about his past with his father, he tried to sneak out of the staffroom..

However, he was caught by Nagisa who became angry because Tomoya was sneaking away from the teacher..

A rare moment to see Nagisa angry..

So she pulled him back to the teacher.. After that both of them plus the teacher visits Tomoya’s father..

But Tomoya wasn’t happy to seeing his dad.. Although he heard his dad didn’t say anything bad about him, he still don’t feel like meeting his dad..

Nagisa saw his feelings and decided to ask him to stay at her house temporarily.. Tomoya packed up and went to Nagisa’s house, much to the dismay of Akio-san..

Who doesn’t, a girl invited him to stay at her house..

In Nagisa’s house, Tomoya experiences what it’s like to be a true family, which makes him feel weird.. He watched Nagisa and family sit down and enjoy their dinner, making Tomoya feel out of place since he never really get together with his dad..

Back in school, the group are back together to see their club up and running together with Tomoyo and Koumura-sensei overlooking the club..

Ah yes.. Sunohara, being dramatic as usual..

2-hit combo.. Gonna hurt real bad..

After school, Nagisa and Tomoya went back home.. But he was shocked to see children in his temporary room and were going through his bag..

We were just looking for the psp..

Owned!!

He later found out from Akio-san that Sanae-san used to be a middle school teacher and she quit her job to be a baker..

Nagisa then confides that she feels that she owes her parents something that happened in the past, but she can’t remember, sparking Tomoya’s curiosity…

To clear up his mind with all these, Tomoya decides to go visit Sunohara for awhile..

Sunohara feeling jealous that Tomoya gets to stay at Nagisa’s house..

This episode is both hilarious and exciting.. Sunohara being funny again and getting punched by Kyou and Tomoyo.. I wonder what else he can do in the next episode..
