Well, its been a few days since the OP & ED singles of Soul Eater were just released.. Although I blogged about the short OP and ED of the anime, it didn’t showcase the PV by the respective artist..

Well, let’s start off with the OP song of Soul Eater..

The OP was simply amazing.. T.M. Revolution made a comeback after 3 years of absence.. Well, he was in a band ( I forgot their name though.. Gomen.. ) though.. Anyway back at the song, the tempo was great and the beat was too fabulous that I don’t know what else to say..

Now for the full song and the PV.. When it came out on 11 June, I quickly grabbed the oppurtunity to listen to the full song..

IMO, I find this better than the songs he did for Gundam Seed.. This song totally blows my mind.. The beat is too amazing that I recommend you to listen to it..

The PV on the other hand was opposite to me.. Well, the song is nice that I would agree but when I saw the video I was like “Wooowwwww..” (Sarcastic).. The reason is that for the PV, it is just a compilation of all the previous PVs he made smack into 3 minutes and 43 seconds..

Anothing thing I find it funny is the MASS advertising by Sony in the PV.. Let me tell you what Sony products I saw in the PV:

I didn’t like the song when I first listened to it but as I kept on watching the anime I grew to like it somehow.. Well, although the song is kinda weird in a way, i find it catchy.. Might be the beginning where the song starts out slow and suddenly the band play a rock song..

About the full song and the PV, the song is awesome while the PV was a turn off.. Other than just one or two parts where he “mumbles” the words of the song due to sore throat ( I forgive you.. Singing loudly for a long duration will cause sore throat.. ), I find the full song great..

The PV is a no-no for me.. Too much of the camera moving here and there gives gives me a headache.. Too bad for me..

Well, I find both the anime and the OP & ED of it pretty much amazing.. Soul Eater is already on my top list to watch and shall remain there provided they don’t put fillers in it.. ^^

Well, it has been awhile since I’ve blogged about Soul Eater, so I have some free time to post about episode 8.. Currently episode 9 is put on hold till I get a HD picture..

Episode 8′s title is..

Continuing from the last episode, we see that Soul transformed into human form to block an attack on Maka, getting badly injured in the process. Chrono comes in to deliver the final blow when a scythe suddenly pierced through the door and into Chrona’s body.. It was none other than Dr. Stein and Deathscythe..

The reason he was there was because Shinigami-san ordered them to.. It was to stop Raganarok and Chrona from turning into Kishin.. Dr. Stein checked on Soul’s vital statistics while Deathscythe looked on towards Chrona and Ragnarok..

As the fighting continues, Dr. Stein and Deathscythe were able to block Chrona’s attacks, and Dr. Stein was able to use his soul’s wavelength to cast Soul Purge onto Chrona, injuring him..

However, what they didn’t know was that Chrona’s black blood was actually part of Ragnarok, and Dr. Stein was hit from behind by Ragnarok’s Bloody Needle.. Enough is enough as Dr. Stein attacked Chrona further and kicked him out of the church..

The battle continued outside of the church, where Dr. Stein was injured again, in his right eye this time by Ragnarok’s Bloody Needle… In order to counter Ragnarok’s Bloody Needle attack, Dr. Stein unleashes his Experimental Spirit Body, a cute big puppet which protected him from all the Ragnarok’s Black Blood attacks.

Dr. Stein then defeated Chrona and Ragnarok using his Double-palm Soul attack. After being defeated, Ragnarok seemed to be going out of control inside of Chrona’s body as their soul synchronization became broken…

Everyone thought the battle was over.. However the Witch Medusa wouldn’t let Dr. Stein kill Chrona just yet..

She then released her Soul Protect, which concealed her wavelength, and revealed herself. She then attacks Dr. Stein and Deathscythe using Vector Arrow.. Dr. Stein and Deathscythe deflected that attack by unleashing their Soul Resonance; Witch Hunter..

Medusa used her snake tatoo on her right arm which suddenly grew bigger.. The snake then took Chrona’s body and Medusa flew away, together with the snake… Deathscythe wanted to give chase but Dr. Stein told that there are more important things to do like taking care of Soul’s badly injured body..

The next day, Dr. Stein finally finished with the operation.. He told Maka that she can see him already.. However, what he did not told is that Ragnarok’s Black Blood has gone into Soul’s bloodstream.. He only told this news to Deathscythe..

Maka is standing beside Soul’s bed in the infirmary… Feeling very guilty for not taking any action during the battle with Chrona, she felt that Soul was very good as being Maka’s weapon, sacrificing himself just so he could protect her..

Hearing about Soul’s injury, Black Star bursts into the infirmary and shows what a caring friend he is.. Maka thinks otherwise by giving him a “Maka Chop”.. Then came along the nurse who we least expect it… Medusa..

Her personality is different, asking Maka nicely to take her dad away from Medusa.. But after Medusa is away from the group, her true self appears..

That is one psycho witch..

Thoughts:

The Stein and DeathScythe combo vs Chrona and Ragnarok was awesome.. At least we get to see Stein in full action.. Stein who was hardly being serious back in the supplementary ‘lesson’, this is the first time we got to lay down some weapons based moves…

And I lol-ed at them not knowing that the Doctor Medusa is the witch they fought the day before.. I know they didn’t get a real good look at the Witch Medusa, but if you can use your eyes to see people’s souls, then you should be able to see that her hair is the same as the doctor at school, style and colour..

And the distance between them isn’t that far for them not to notice the hair colour of the witch.. Well, Dr. Stein can’t really see well without his glasses.. And since his was broken by one of Ragnarok’s attack, a valid reason…

Oh well… It is just an anime, and a pretty good one still. We’ve seen Dr. Stein fight with his bare hands before, and now they show him fighting by wielding Shinigami-sama’s very own Deathscythe…

The real battle begins in this episode as the focus now shifts with the appearence of the true opponents with Maka & Soul..

This time, Maka & Soul heads to italy where they were given a mission to kill Samson.. However, Soul wasn’t planning to kill Samson yet because he wanted to get a taste from a pasta first..

But Maka didn’t like the idea and did a Maka-Chop to dissuade him from thinking about the pasta and more about the mission.. And I might say, that is one sweet-looking bike..

After they make a pit-stop, Maka & Soul were trying to find information from the villagers.. While walking around, Soul accidently bumped into one person and said sorry.. However, the guy wasn’t happy and threatened him with beatings..

Soul and Maka wasn’t interested in that anyway, but their action pised the guy off so much he called his gang.. Then he made the “Gar-to-Gay” pose which kinda makes me skipped a few seconds forward..

Anyway, even with threats and the big gang, Soul just didn’t seem to care and so both Maka & Soul beat the crap out of the gang…

Later on in the church, the appearance of Chrona in front of the same gang which Maka & Soul beat the crap out of.. The gang threatened Chrona with the same thing..

But Medusa didn’t care of what they think and told Chrona to get rid of them once and for all.. Chrona agreed and allowed her sword aka Ragnorok to hellscreech everyone in the church..

Somewhere else, Maka & Soul were facing off with Samson, the enemy that they supposed to find and hunt down as part of the mission.. After killing him and Soul eating his Kishin-corrupted soul, they thought they had completed their job there..

However, Maka suddenly felt an abundance of good spirits gathering around in the church with a weapon meister and weapon..

I would like to say that the map is way cooler and better than Google Earth.. ^^

Back to the story, upon reaching there, Maka suddenly felt that all the human souls in the church suddenly disappeared in one shot.. Trying to see what is going on, she opened the door and finally faced Chrona herself..

Back in Shibusen, Maka’s dad, DeathScythe was in the infirmary feeling very depressed that Maka had to take a mission to go all the way to Italy and that his effort to follow her was stopped by Doctor Stein..

Suddenly the door opened.. Thinking that it must be a gorgeous nurse, he hugged the person without thinking.. When he finally came to his senses, he was shocked to see that the person is actually Stein himself..

Stein was kinda happy to see DeathScythe, even teasing him twice.. But he was there to tell DeathScythe about the demon blade = Ragnorok appearing..

Back to the scene in the church, Chrona suddenly have a very bad stomachache.. Then out of sudden, her back suddenly exploded with Black Blood spewing out from it..

Now comes the freaky part, the Blood morphed into a humanoid shape (-legs); the true form of Ragnorok..

Maka, feeling the shock ranging from weapon in Chrona’s body to looking at Chrona having to endure the exploding back, Maka then snapped out of it and was ready to fight..

Chrona on the other hand wasn’t feeling enthusiastic to attack Maka as she felt that she couldn’t attack a girl.. However, with Ragnorok’s persuasion, Chrona decided to fight..

Chrona then ordered Ragnorok to change into weapon mode.. Ragnorok, who turned into a puddle of black blood on top of Chrona, hen turned into a sword when Chrona grabbed hold of the blood..

The battle starts when Chrona made her first move on Maka.. However, Maka blocked the attack and counter-attack Chrona with a punch..

This is where the battle got a cool twist.. Maka found her chance to slash right through Chrona.. But the attack didn’t penetrate though Chrona’s skin, or that is what Maka thought…

Maka then realised that the Black Blood in Chrona protected her by hardening the blood vessels, preventing Chrona from getting deep slashes..

Chrona, back in fighting position, began another attack on Maka, this time with skills which has no name being spoke of for now..

When Chrona finally got a chance to attack Maka with Ragnorok on Hellscreech, Maka blocked the attack with Soul.. However, the blocked attack resulted in Soul getting hurt by Ragnorok’s screech..

Due to that attack, Maka suddenly went from offensive to totally defensive, dodging all attacks from Chrona..

In the end, Maka was trapped at the main door of the church and couldn’t escape in time.. Soul told her to use him to blocked the final attack from Chrona..

When Maka didn’t listen to Soul, Soul decided that he must take matters into his own hands and blocked the attack without the help from Maka, taking the full blow of it..

This is one of the bloody episode in Soul Eater so far..

This episode is so freaking awesome, but I hate to see Soul get slashed by Ragnorok so bloodily.. At least the lame but still funny comedy makes up for it..

I will wait for episode 8 to come out.. ^^

A new student has enrolled into Shibusen with much fanfare.. However, Black Star and Soul don’t seem too happy with his enrollment with the school at all..

In class, Dr Stein was busy preparing to dissect another creature for the class.. Although Maka objected to the decision since he kept doing it all the time, he on the other hand was thrilled of doing it anyway..

Instead he found a new subject to dissect which is the endangered Cuckoo, and smile at it, but the creature was scared to the max..

However Tsubaki wasn’t interested in this sort of things.. She was more focus about Black Star wanting to use Soul as a weapon for a day to fight Death the Kid.. When Maka said something bad about Black Star, Tsubaki just snapped and shook Maka violently..

Outside, Black Star and Soul were impatiently waiting for Death the Kid since he is already 3 hours late.. Black Star wasn’t as pleased than Soul is..

When Death finally arrived, Black Star was the one who challenged Death to a fight while standing at the edge of one of the building’s pole.. Unfortunately, part of the pole gave way and causes Black Star to fall..

The broken part shocked and angered Death since Black Star damaged the symmetry of the school..

The angered Death finally show his true self and decided that a fight is what he will give them..

The battle attracted Dr Stein class attention.. Maka took this oppurtunity to ask Dr Stein to oversee the battle since a homeroom teacher must be present during a duel in school..

This upsets Stein as he was just about to dissect the cuckoo.. Stein then told Maka and Tsubaki to follow him as well..

While fighting with Death, Soul dropped his guard down, allowing Death to point a gun at point blank and shot him.. The shot however hurt Soul since Patty and Liz only used Death’s soul wavelength to shoot him.. This disgust Black Star..

During the battle, Stein gave Maka an assignment to see Death, Patty and Liz souls.. Doing that, she realized that even by having 2 weapons, Death was able to sync perfectly with them..

This was because they had an admiration of him and vice versa.. This made Maka realized that they are a perfect team, unlike Soul and Black Star..

In the midst of the battle, Black Star and Soul said that it is tim to combine.. This excites Death and Patty who was happy to see the “Power of Friendship”..

But the transformation ended in failure as Black Star couldn’t catch Soul-transformed-Scythe in time, causing it to slice the top of Black Star’s head..

Black Star then tried to carry Soul but it was too heavy for him to do so.. Maka then explained that Soul and Black Star soul wavelength aren’t sync so it was impossible for such thing to work..

Black Star’s eagerness to carry Soul resulted in his wavelength to hurt Soul.. This anger Soul to the part where he changed back to his human form..

Then comes the gay scene..

Gay/Too happy scene:

Ok this is just weird..

And now this is just too gay.. -_-”

Death however wasn’t too keen of waiting for them, so he headshot them and gave an excuse about his shooting..

The now determined Black Star and Soul again fought with Death, with Soul almost hitting him..

Death then realized that enough is enough and decided to use Resonance of Soul..

While Dr Stein and Maka could see Death Soul’s size increased..

Soul and Black Star was oblivious to what is coming for them..

The Resonance of Soul allowed Deth to get a bigger and powerful gun from the Thmpson sisters.. Also, he got spikes coming out from the shoulder.. Totally awesome..

The new form allowed him to charge up his Death Cannon and shoot it towards Soul and Black Star with style..

The result? A big death explosion and Soul and Black Star got knocked out..

After the battle ended, Death suddnell passed out with blood flowing our from his mouth.. Dr Stein was confused since he saw Death as being a top notch student in Shibusen and since he is Shinigami-san’s son..

Maka then explained that when Soul gave his last attack to Death before Death used Resonance of Souls, the attack cut part of his hair.. This made the symmetry our of place and Death didn;t like it one bit..

Soul then apologised to Maka for being uncool in having to fight with Death.. Black Star on the other hand was all high and mighty, much to the dismay of Tsubaki..

Later on, Shinigami appeared and greeted them.. He was there to take Death home since he knew about the battle from the start..

Since he was there, Maka decided to check out Shinigami’s soul.. This shocked Maka as she couldn’t see his soul whereas she could still see Death and the Thompson sisters’ souls..

Although she decided to give that a miss, the truth is that Shinigami’s soul is actually so big, it covers the whole town exactly..

The gay scene was just too much for me.. I couldn’t help but laugh it out.. Anyway, Death’s Resonance of Soul was totally awesome, even betterthan Maka..

But having such a long time to recharge and shoot can be his downside.. But heck, that is one powerful cannon he got; not 1 but 2 too.. ^^

And what is with Shinigami’s soul?? That is very big, even bigger than Stein… But hey, he is after all Shinigami-san and the head of Shibusen.. This show is getting more and more interesting..

Continuing the remediation lesson which Shinigami-san forced them to do, they finally reached Professor Franken Stein house where they await him; the creator of the zombie Sid..

When Prof Stein finally came out with his chair, the chair trips on the base of the door and sent Stein flying.. But that did not deter him to give up and he did it again, but failed again.. -_-”

But the atmosphere turned serious when Stein asked them questions.. He also told them about their souls and what kinda of personalities they have, which is considered by Maka as “first-grade”..

However, she didn’t like the look of Stein’s face when he talked about her soul..

But their chat was cut short when Black Star interrupted by shouting at the lot from on top of Stein’s house.. He then came down and challenge Stein to a fight..

The first battle begins as Black Star tried to do a quick attack on him.. However, Stein quickly blocked the attack with just his left hand.. Black Star tried to do it again but Stein managed to block it again using the same hand..

Unfortunately, Stein wasn’t about to sit down and do ntg.. He then moved quickly towards Black Star and punched him in the face directly..

Stein who noticed that Tsubaki is Black Star’s weapon, told everyone what kind of soul she had.. It’s the cutest too.. ^^

While Maka, Soul and Black Star were fighting, at the cabaret in town, DeathScythe was having a drink with Blair..

Being a playboy, he tried to seduce Blair, but instead got backfired when Blair asked him about the current relationship between Maka and him, much to his dismay..

He then told them about his past when he was Stein’s weapon.. His old name was Spirit before he became a DeathScythe.. So during that 5 years with Stein, he didn’t know that he was being experimented on by Stein in the middle of the night when DeathScythe was sleeping..

But it was Maka’s mom that saved him from the torture and so thats how he left Stein being his first Meister..

Back into the thick of the battle, Maka tried to block a unarmed attack by Stein.. However, their underestimation about him resultd in them being sent to the grounds and getting hurt..

Back at the Shibusen Academy, Death the Kid asked Shinigami-san about how did Stein do that.. He replied by saying that Stein’s normal attack is like how Maka played a guitar.. Soul on the other hand is like an amplifier for her to play the song louder; something like their WitchHunter attack..

However, Stein doesn’t use any weapon so his unarmed attack is super pwnage..

Maka tried to attack Stein again, hoping to win but she got caught by him after she got beaten down..

However, Black Star came to the rescue when he used his Deadly Black Star Big Wave on him.. But Stein wasn’t affected by it at all.. He turned around and retaliated on Black Star, doing a lightning attack on him..

Due to being in the electric attack for too long, Black Star fell with blood coming out from both his mouth and eyes…

Death the Kid, watching the whole battle taking place, decided enough is enough.. He asked his father to enroll him to Shibusen so that he could help Maka and Black Star..

Back at the battle scene, Maka couldn’t help but watch in shock as she finally saw Stein’s “BIG” Soul surrounding him..

Returning to Shibusen, Death the Kid in the end couldn’t help Maka and Black Star because of his mental condition of being too perfect.. Reason?? He forgot to fold the toilet paper correctly.. Lol..

Liz tried to console him to just forget about it while Patty just laugh out at the corner.. However, Death will not quit till he fold the paper correctly, much to the anger from Liz..

Soul persuaded Maka to snap out of it and fight Stein.. Maka, realising what Soul said is true, agreed.. Together, they tried to use the Resonance of Soul, much to the delight of Stein himself..

Using WitchHunter on Stein, they thought they might win the battle after all.. However, it was all for naught as Stein had more strength and broke the weapon to pieces..

The attack left Maka unable to move and Soul badly hurt.. They thought the end was near as Stein was too powerful for them..

Stein came up to Maka only to be blocked by Soul.. Giving him a pat on his head, he told them that they passed the test..

Feeling shocked, they asked what this was all about.. Stein soon tell them that this was all just a test to see whether the weapon are worthy for the meister while Sid tested them on whether the meister are worthy for the weapons themselves..

The funny part is that Stein is feel happy that he gets to enjoy toying with the gang..

The next day, they thought the worst is over.. The gang asked themselves who will take over the class since Sid is already a zombie while DeathScythe already has his duties as a DeathScythe..

Thats a nice position to teach the class..

What they didn’t exepect however is that the new homeroom teacher was no other than Professor Stein himself, much to the shock of the gang..

Yeap, we know how you feel too Maka..

Well, another day ends with a funny ending.. Though I wonder why Tsubaki didn’t get any fighting role in today’s episode and just have to guard zombie Sid using her chains..

But heck, Blair is still in the spotlight, though I prefer she go and disturb Soul than on DeathScythe.. DeathScythe is pretty much and emotional guy.. Too emotional I mean..

The prologue is over and now the real story begins.. Was very happy that they took out the intro about the Shibusen school and the repetitive scene of Shinigami-san talking.. -_-”

Maka’s Rendition of “Shinigami-Chop”

So the story begins when Maka & Soul’s homeroom teacher; Sid didn’t teach the class anymore.. So alot of students spread rumours about him attacking the students in the school as a mean of teaching them “lessons”..

So who substituted the teacher?? It’s no other than Maka’s father, the current Death Scythe.. He told them that Shinigami-san had asked for them to his room.. When they reached there, they are “greeted” by Black Star & Tsubaki..

So Maka came to the mirror and summoned a call for Shinigami-san using “42-42-564″ or as my fav. word, “Kill-Kill-Die”..

Shinigami-san gave them a shock of their life when he told them that they are going for remediation for having zero egg of kishin..

All except for Black Star took it very hard.. He however, laughed it off and got “Shinigami-Chopped”.. Shinigami told them that in order to pass the remediation, they have to find and attack zombie-turned Sid (after an unfortunate accident) and also find the person who turned him into the zombie..

He warnd them that if they should fail this, they will be expelled from the school.. (‘ ~ ‘)

At the graveyard where they supposed to meet Sid, Maka and Soul went mentally emotional because of what Shinigami told them.. The only person who are immune to his words are Tsubaki and Black Star, especially Black Star..

Then out of nowhere, Sid came from underground and grabbed hold of Maka.. Soul in the nick of time saved Maka and the battle begins..

The battle is watched by Shinigami-san and Death the Kid (too obvious in that particular scene, so no use hiding the truth)..

As the battle rages on, Sid gets more serious and used his gravestone as his weapon.. He also use it as a shield to block Maka and Black Star’s attacks..

He went more serious by using one of his skill, Living End on Black Star.. He thought he had killed Black Star but knowing his ego, Black Star wouldn’t let that happen..

He returned Sid his favour by attacking Sid in a very quick manner.. Sid also tried the same skill on Maka, however got out-smarted by her when she dodged his attack.. She also return the favour..

To quickly end the battle, Soul and Maka did what they have tried many times before but failed;

“Soul Resonance!!”

The synchronizing of their souls finally work and Soul’s form changed into a moon-like shape.. However, only getting the sync to work for the first time, Maka’s attack failed when she slipped and attacked the wrong way…

The attak almost hit Black Star but he ducked to one side just in time.. The attack was so strong that it caused quite a long scar on the graveyard’s ground, even making Sid feel surprised..

Then it comes to the blaming game..

Due to the missed attack, Maka tried to attack Sid again the normal way but Sid ran for cover by going underground..

Black Star wasn’t very pleased of Sid using such lousy skill.. So he and Tsubaki used another of their skill; “Trap Star” to pinpoint Sid’s souls location and capture him..

However, while capturing Sid, Black Star purposedly capture Maka & Soul too and luaghed at them for being idiots..

After watching Soul and Black Star’s battle with Sid, Death the Kid asked who is really the one who created zombie Sid..

Shinigami-san replied by revealing that the guy is actually Doctor Fraken Stein, the first weapon meister for the current Death Scythe before becoming Maka’s mom weapon and then Shinigami-san weapon..

After that the scene turns to Maka, Soul, Tsubaki and Black Star with the captured Sid behind them.. This is the part before the battle with Doctor Stein begins next week..

Being the “real” first episode of Soul Eater, I find it quite exciting to watch.. I also like the revealing of Doctor Stein and also the Resonance of Souls.. I like the second form of Soul’s Scythe.. ^^

Well, will catch the 5th episode of Soul Eater to catch the battle between the team and Doctor Stein.. Looking at the preview, it looks like Stein can fight them using just the arms against the group..

If you find this episode to be nice, then I will tell you to watch this show..

Finally, the last prologue for Soul Eater came out a few days ago.. Now in this episode is the introduction of the last main character, Death the Kid with his weapons, the Thompson Sisters; Liz and Patty..

Looks like a perfect team but in actual fact, no.. As you can see, a “perfect team” usually have some flaw as in this case its Death himself..

He has the mentality that everything must be symmetric.. He even scolded patty for doing the group’s entrance wrongly..

This resulted in Lupin, the first bad guy which Death is chasing during screen time, to escape..

As you can see, it is a mental illness which Death have, which in this case un avoidable for Patty and Liz..

He loves to complain about everything that isn’t symmetrical, even the “eyes” of the Thompson Sisters.. (‘ ~ ‘)

This angered Liz who then complained about Death not being symmetric, especially his hair.. What a giveaway..

This make him emotional.. Totally..

So it’s up to the Thompson Sisters to cheer him up.. “A+” for effort..

This trick always work on Death himself.. The sisters know how to cheer up an emo kid..

After that, he summoned up the portal using his ring to report his work to his father, Shinigami-san..

After giving the report, Death asked his dad if there is another mission to do so thathe can get another corrupted soul..

Shinigami then oblidged and gave him the mission to kill Witch Necromancer Samantha who loved to summon mummies to do her evil bidding..

Inside the pyramid where the witch is hiding, Death and th Thompson Sisters walked through the dark and creepy hallway..

They were abruptly stopped by Death himself.. He told them that something is bothering him..

To everyone surprise, it isn’t anything related to the mission.. He was more concerned about the paiting back home which he thinks is slightly tilted to the right..

This made him really feel depressed and he wished to go back, much to the anger from Liz..

She wasn’t gonna let him leave so she dragged him along to find the witch..

On the way, they met up with the mummies, who act cutely..

the sisters were duped to thinking that they were innocent till this happen..

When Liz turned around for Death, he wasn’t there..

Reason is that he left them to back to his room at the vocational school to see whether the painting tilted or not.. So much for being a good meister for your weapons..

Pity Liz and Patty..

Then the mummies attacked, which the sisters retaliated with style..

While the sisters were fighting, the witch, Samantha was awakening the pharah..

But her plan backfired and she was captured and eaten by him..

Back at the school, Death finally sighed in relif that the painting was actually straight with not tilting.. So off he goes back to the pyramid..

While he was flying back, Liz & Patty decided to move forward.. Well, patty wanted to do so..

Much to the dismay of Liz..

When they reched the pharoah’s chamber, they got ambushed by the pharaoh himself..

When Death came back, he saw the Thompson sisters were tied up.. Wanting to rescue them, he defended himself from the pharaoh’s attack..

It was a battle between the pharoah in the sarcophagus..

and Death himself..

However, Death didn’t pull the guns’ trigger, which leaft the pharoah the chance to attack him..

Reason for doing so is because he finds the sarcophagus symmetric which he loved so much..

Since Death was severely injured, the pharaoh came out from the sarcophagus to do his killing move..

But when the pharaoh came out, Death noticed something odd about him..

The pharaoh, right side is totally not symmetrical to his left side..

Please spot the difference between the 2 pictures.. Anyone who guessed correctly might win a Maka & Soul figurine, sponsored by Shinigami himself.. XD

The unsymmetrical of the pharaoh enraged Death till he shoot the crap out of the pharaoh..

His rage causes a big explosion at the back of the pyramid..

After collecting the pharaoh’s soul, they came out, feeling happy.. But it was shortlived as the pyramid they’ve been inside just now collasped due to that explosion..

Because of this, Shinigami had to confiscate all the souls Death had collected, much to the disappointment of Death..

Well, prologue has ended and the real story will begin in the 4th episode… This episode is actually quite funny, considering Death’s mental illness, Liz scared of dark spaces and ghouls & Patty laughing at almost anything, even if there is trouble ahead..

I am happy that Miyano Mamoru, who voiced as Setsuna in Gundam 00, voiced Death quite well, even in the humour part of the episode…

I shall await for the next episode to see how the story will begin, maybe will start at the right note or don’t.. Who knows.. ^^

Being one of the most interesting show to watch, I watched the 2nd episode of Soul Eater and Black Star and Tsubaki are just as funny as Maka and Soul in episode 1..

So the show begins when Black Star gave a “so-called” surprise entrance to the gang of Al-Capone.. Tsubaki is in Chain-Scythe mode..

There are the assasin codes that Black Star learned in the school:

Code 1: Dissolve in the darkness, and erase your breath. Consider and find the weak points of the target.

Code 2: Predict the target’s moves and thoughts.

Code 3: Take out the target before he/she/it notices you.

But Black Star didn’t take those codes seriously.. Even make Tsubaki scold him..

Well, in the end the assasination attempt didn’t work out as they planned..

So Black Star decided to make a temporary retreat and asked Tsubaki to change into Smoke Bomb mode..

After that they reviewed on what went wrong during the assasination attempt.. However, Black Star didn’t take it seriously and just laugh it off, much to the dismay of Tsubaki..

So back at the academy, they were called upon by Shinigami-san about their failure in that mission.. Although Tsubaki apologised to Shinigami-san,

Black Star still wasn’t keen to be serious about it.. Was showing off with his autorgraph..

So he got the honour to be “Shinigami-chopped” by Shinigami himself..

Shinigami then told them that Al-Capone has found the hide-out of a witch, Angela and they are making a move…

At the witch lair itself, Al-Capone and his gang was about to make their move to attack when they were abruptly stopped by Mifune, the guardian of Angela..

While that happen, Black Star try to use his assasin code to sneak up on Tsubaki bathing.. But knowing Black Star to not be serious, Tsubaki notice his presence and used a shuriken to teach him a lesson..

After the stupid incident, they head off to the witch lair to get both the kishin eggs and the witch soul together.. There they were shocked to see all the corrupted kishin eggs floating in front of the witch lair..

Then out of nowhere, Mifune came out and attacked Black Star..

Due to Mifune being a strong opponent, Black Star told Tsubaki to transform into Dark Demon Blade Mode, Shuriken..

But Mifune somehow manage to avoid that, with style..

Due to his high ego, Black Star was embarrasingly defeated by Mifune, though not seriously injured..

Then Mifune told Black Star how incompetent he is as Tsubaki’s great skills is wasted by his high ego.. That woke him up..

So Black Star challenge Mifune to another fight.. Knowing that Black Star is being serious, Mifune accepted his challenge..

Tsubaki changed into another form, Ninja Blade.. So the serious battle begins..

Using the assasin’s code, Mifune was tricked into thinking that the person in front of him is Black Star but actually it isn’t.. It is actually Tsubaki who used Shadow Star mode.. It’s something like a disguise..

Then Black Star came out of nowhere and do a “Hisatsu” or Deadly Black Star Big Wave (according to AEN subs) on Mifune..

That made Mifune unable to move since he took alot of damage from that great attack.. However, Black Star was stopped when Angela came to the rescue..

He could not take the witch soul from Angela since she is small and kinda cute..

Well, cute but deadly..

Well, that did made him angry..

Since Angela is a small child and how Mifune protects her, he decided not to kill them and let her and Mifune off..

What happened to the corrupted souls there? Well, he gave them to Shinigami instead of taking them for himself because it was “uncool” for him to do so..

Although they didn’t get any souls, they did however completed the mission somehow.. And that also didn’t stop Black Star from being himself again, climbing up and see all the girls from a good view..

But because he wasn’t using stealth sneaking into the bath area, he got shuriken-ed by Tsubaki again..

Now, we can talk about Tsubaki, the moe-est character in the whole series.. I think she is the best weapon used by a weapon meister since she can transform into many modes..

The 2nd episode was excellent.. The many modes of Tsubaki and the great fighting, I find this show will get interesting by each episode.. I will wait for episode 3 to see how funny it will be with Death the Kid around.. ^^

Finally a figurine for Soul Eater just came out.. I was browsing through Hobby Search and found this by chance..

The figurine is of Maka holding Soul in weapon form with parts of his torso sticking out from himself as weapon..

The figurine is made by no one else other than Square Enix.. Ironically, they are the sponsors for the anime show itself.. Heck.. Still love them for making very moe characters in Final Fantasy series and Kingdom Hearts.. ^^

When I took a look at the figurine, I felt that I saw that before.. So I go through all my Soul Eater treasures and found out the source.. It is the manga cover of the Soul Eater Book #1..

However, a small detail of the whole figurine bothers me abit.. Maka eyes on the figurine doesn’t fit her at all.. They look different than those shown in both the manga and the anime..

Well, the eyes of Maka in the manga cover and the anime is wider than the eyes on the figurine.. the smaller eyes make Maka looks like a zombie.. Soul overall in the figurine is quite alrite.. They put him the same as in the manga cover..

But overall the figurine is quite so-so.. I will give this one a miss though.. Maybe I will wait for some company to make a figurine of Blair.. She is just so moe!! XD

Anyway, the figurine is about 7800 yen which is about SGD$104.. Well, that’s how prices are these days.. The figure is scheduled for July 2008 and is open for reservation at Hobby Search.. Click here for the link..

For now, I shall wait for the subbed version of Soul Eater Ep2.. I want to see how pretty Tsubaki really is.. ^^

A new season of animes means a new change of my banner.. Currently, my banner shows Rosario + Vampire character; Moka Akashiya for the winter anime season..

But since the show already ended, I decided to change the banner to the current season(Spring)..

So I took the liberty to watch almost every OP and ED and finalise it with my bro Infestor51 on which picture was perfect for my new banner.. We decided on using the Soul Eater ED where there’s Maka and Soul looking at somewhere..

So my brother took his liberty to create my latest banner, though the process took a day since the application crashed twice while my brother was doing the banner..

The end result??

My brother couldn’t decide on which Japanese text to put as “Anime-Baka”.. He showed me the 2 pics that he made but I’m not sure which banner looks better..

So I made this entry so that I can ask for your opinion on which banner with different Japanese text each looks better..
