Winter Wonder Festival (WonFest) 2010 had just started its run today at the Makuhari Messe.. However, there are already some good photos from the event itself on the upcoming figurines.. And I’ll say that there are plenty for you to drool upon just like the one above; 1/8 scale Love is War Hatsune Miku by Good Smile Company…
Just recently, Max Factory and Good Smile Company has updated the WonHobby 11 Site with interesting info on their upcoming exclusive goodies which are going to be sold during Wonder Festival (WonFest) 2010 Winter on Febuary 7th, 2010.. It has been quite some time since the last WonFest took place which was the Summer WonFest 2009 held in July…

ALMecha KOS-MOS Ver.4 from Xenosaga III by Alter.
Finally, the day which most figurine lovers + anime lovers have been for.. It is the Summer Wonder Festival (or WonFest for short) 2009 where different figurine and mecha-type companies, from big scale ones like Good Smile Company (GSC) and Alter to small scale groups showcase their figurines and mechas, some of them you see on previews and some very brand new…
I like how her suit shines, this must be one of the very few figures/figmas that have shiny outfits such as figma Miku and the upcoming 1/8 scale GSC Hatsune Miku..
GSC also gave us a sneakpeek on their 3rd figure from the series; Kagami Sumika which they have yet to announce.. She looks very nice holding the Heart on her hands.. Very unique is a sense..

I like the stuffed bunny that comes with her.. It really looks like those bunny bags that some people love to carry around.. It makes her more MOE than ever.. x.X

Well, she is now opened for reservation at Hobby Search for only 6800 yen which is about SGD$90.. Quite a decent price considering the shiny outfit she is wearing.. Maybe the quality used to make her is of higher grade, who knows..

Well, I managed to track down the OP for Muv-Luv Alternative for those who played this game last time.. Here you go:

Even though WonFest ended long ago (about 6 hours ago), I am still amaze at the pictures taken by the public and companies alike.. Even as I am typing in my entry, there would be more people uploading pictures about what is on show in Wonder Festival..
Well, wait no further because I will show you the pictures now..

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann:

And Emiri Kimidori

It been a few weeks since figures companies began announcing what figurines will be on sale during the Wonder Festival (WonFest), including the WonFest exclusive figurines..
Tokyo Hunter was kind enough to share what figurines will be on sale there and some of them caught my attention, especially the Touhou Project character figurines of Reimu Hakurei and Marisa Kirisame..

Well, I think this is my first time seeing figurines from the Touhou Project series but I think that were more of them before these..
However, they come in resin kits version, not PVC which is a no-no from me.. Reason stated below.. Anyway, here are a preview shots of both figures:
1/8 Reimu Hakurei (Nemu Matsukura ver.) Resin Kit
Height: 20cm
Sculptor: Shinpei Yokoshima
Retail price: 7,800 yen (5,800yen during WF)
Release date: 3 August 2008
Info: Available for pre-orders during Wonder Festival 2008 Summer Event Advance Sale.
1/8 Marisa Kirisame (Nemu Matsukura ver.) Resin Kit
Height: 20cm
Sculptor: Shinpei Yokoshima
Retail price: 7,800 yen (5,800yen during WF)
Release date: 3 August 2008
Info: Also available for pre-orders during Wonder Festival 2008 Summer Event Advance Sale.
Well, even though I like how they look, I am not interested in buying them.. Reason is not about money but it is due to them being in resin version..
I’m not into resins for a long time because I am not those type that can be extra gentle with figurines.. So I fear my hands might lose its grip and result in the resin figurine to drop and break..
I hope there would be a PVC version of any Touhou Project characters which looks great, especially Reimu Hakurei.. ^^
How about you? Do you still prefer to buy a figurine if it is made of resins instead of PVC??
