Knowing that figurines sale has soared so much over the past few years, Volks Inc., known now for making wonderful dollfies, has decided to a release on the 1/6 Scale Hatsune Miku [Encore Ver.].. Although you might think that this looks similar to the original one 2 years ago (2008), well it is.. Together with the similar pose from the previous one, she now comes with swappable parts to do more epic poses..

Just like the previous one, this version is also a SUPER Limited edition figurine (As expected from Volks Inc.) as it is on a “Made To Order” and the period to pre-order is as follows:

December 29, 2009 – 31 (Comic Market 77)
January 1, 2009 – 11 January (New Kit Exhibition 2010)

Thats how rare the Volks Miku is~

Although it seems like all hopes is lost for those who live outside of Japan, fret not.. Some sites have already opened their reservation slots for her (Supposedly they would preorder at the event area itself I guess?).. This is your chance to get your hands on this Ultra rare figurine… XD

She is selling at a price of 7560yen or at around SGD$115.. However due to shipping cost to other countries and other transportation fees, some site has decided to add those in and truth be told the price for pre-orders is around 13500yen – 17000yen which is around SGD$203 – SGD$260.. Yup, it is super expensive, more than BRS too OMG… =3

Some online stores has already closed their slots early but there are others like Toys Logic,  and also at OtaCute.. Do hurry and pre-order if you want her.. Really while stocks last!!

Just last weekend, the Chara Hobby 2009 event was held at the Makuhari Messe International Convention Complex.. There are some new and upcoming figurines that the some of the companies have made and I would say that they are a Must-Get for some people like the one above for example.. XD

Finally, the day which most figurine lovers + anime lovers have been for.. It is the Summer Wonder Festival (or WonFest for short) 2009 where different figurine and mecha-type companies, from big scale ones like Good Smile Company (GSC) and Alter to small scale groups showcase their figurines and mechas, some of them you see on previews and some very brand new…

One fine example of a new figurine is the above figurine, KOS-MOS Ver. 4 from Xenosaga 3.. Truly magnificent looking with her weapons on display as well.. ^^

Time flies so fast that you would be shock to know that it is already the end of the year.. Even the most anticipated event this month, the End Of Year ’08 (EOY’08) was just held yesterday and I am very happy that I attended the event..

The event was held at the Singapore Expo Hall A-F from 11am till 7pm.. I arrived late at the event; about 3.30pm to be exact due to a small function I had to help out earlier on.. I first met up with Panther and Hirito near Coffee Bean.. After that, got my ticket to enter the event area; about SGD$12 to be precise and met up with the rest of the group..

Anyway, I am very pleased with how well the cosplayers do their respective characters, some of them are pretty amazing.. Well, I would like to leave to you some of the pictures I took during the EOY08.. Hope you enjoy taking a look at them..

Apart from just the cosplayers, there are also booths by artists to showcase their artwork and sell them, mini shops and other stuff.. What do I mean by other stuffs? Well, some of the booth are used by figure and dollfies collectors to showcase what they have..

I chance upon the figure booth when I was walking around the area, taking some pics of the cosplayers.. I was pretty impressed to see alot of nice figurines/figmas/nendos that were on display..

It was also my chance (Could be the only chance) to see the Volks Hatsune Miku figurine up close and personal.. She was just too kawaii~ not to be missed..

Volks Miku, one of the hardest Hatsune Miku figurines to get.. Wish I can get one easily..

Now, lets return back to cosplaying.. ^^

Some of the Vampire Knights cosplayers looks quite good IMHO..

Oh yeah, the event was so well known that Darth Vader from the EMPIRE sends out one of his trusted Stormtrooper by the name of Gordonator to scout the event..

However, he was unfamiliar with the country’s current technology that he got pissed off.. Here is the video to prove it.. ^^;;

This group was unexpectedly group, apart from the > 9000 Naruto cosplayers that were at EOY08..

I felt quite satisfied that the EOY 08 ends on a great note.. This year’s event has a lot more great cosplayers around.. I also met up with some of the people that I chat from IRC during the event itself.. Well, it was a great event and I guess I will hope the SOY ’09 will also be great too..

As some of you might know, I am an avid Hatsune Miku fan (Hence being called Miku Guardian in Team Blue).. Being a Miku fan, I try to find any nice songs by her, collecting figurines of her even to the extent of getting anything Hatsune Miku-related..

Well,as you can see in the above picture, those are currently all my Hatsune Miku-related stuffs; from figurines to artworks.. Well, let us begin with figurines..

I am sure you all know some of the Hatsune Miku figurines, especially the Good Smile ones.. Well we have the Nendo Hatsune Miku.. For figure review of her, click here..

Then I have the Max Factory Figma Miku.. A very cool figma indeed since she has her own mic stand and of course the 2 leeks that comes with her… xD

Then we have the 1/8 GSC Hatsune Miku.. Shiny outfit indeed.. ^^

Sadly, I didn’t have enough time to review the 1/8 GSC Miku.. I will do so when time permits..

Next up, we have Hatsune Miku artworks.. Nothing would be more beautiful than an artwork since the artist painstakingly drew and paint the artwork all by him/herself.. Well, drawing is easy.. Painting beautifully on the other hand takes practice and patience..

Well, we can begin with this big Black★Rock Shooter (BRS) artwork by Kaizeru.. The original Black Rock Shooter is originally created (drawn, painted,etc) by Huke.. Well, I got this artwork at the end of a recent art exhibition showcasing digital arts; Kaleidoscope..

BRS looks splendid in the artwork.. It was totally great to see one of the many beautiful artwork of her.. Well, this is made possible by the Collateral Damage Studios (CDS) team.. Thanks guys.. For more info about Kaleidoscope, click here..

Next we have this small Miku artwork.. Though small in size, the art looks fantastic.. I would like to thank the group who made this for CosFest but unfortunately I already forgotten their name.. Pity.. -_-;;

Last of this category is the Kei’s Gallery Artbook by Kei himself.. The artbook was hard to get IMO since I’ve been searching it high and low for a few months before Squee told me about it being sold at Kinokuniya..

However, it was actually Feidamu who got it for me.. Thanks Fei.. ^^

Anyway, the artbook is filled with alot of Kei’s artworks; all of them are stunningly beautiful.. I couldn’t resist but to see evry artwork for myself.. Other than just the Hatsune Miku and the Kagamine Twins artwork, there are also other great artworks,some of them even from animes like Gurren Lagann..

I have yet to review this artbook so do wait for it.. ^^

Well, lets move on to music then.. Music is the key that connects people around the world.. Music can also bring people closer to one another.. As for me, listening to Hatsune Miku’s songs does bring me closer to some of the Hatsune Miku fans out there like Kevinay and Kazearashi..

For a start, lets begin with Talisman, an OST + Artbook combine into one.. This was made by the CDS group and it has some beautiful Hatsune Miku songs and even artworks made by the group themselves…

Moving on to the most popular Hatsune Miku music album, Re;Packaged.. A very good album by the Livetune group.. It has great songs like “Last Night, Good Night’ and “Light Song”.. Listening to those songs back then makes me want to get this album itself..

This was thanks to Kazearashi for ordering it for me from Amazon.jp.. The album looks nice; back and front.. It was totally exhilarating getting this album since they were not sold in Singapore at all.. xD

Well, thats totally the end of the Hatsune Miku related stuff I have to show you guys/gals.. I hope you enjoyed reading this entry.. If you do want to get one of these, do get it from Amazon.jp, they are the most trustworthy place to get original goods..

Getting these Hatsune Miku stuffs isn’t always easy and some of them are quite expensive (due to expensive shipping).. I do hope that future stuffs will get slightly cheaper so that I can save money for things other than just Hatsune Miku.. ^^

She is just too good to not be ignored right??

OMG, does my eyes deceive me again or has another company made an announcement of a Hatsune Miku figure?? Well, after reality sets in, I finally realize that there will be another figure release of Hatsune Miku in September but it is not by Good Smile Company (GSC)..

It is however announced by non other than Volks who do make one similar figure but it was in Resin version.. Due to it being resin, it cost about 14,000yen during the Winter WonFest..

Now, Volks has started an online sale exclusive on their website for the PVC version of Hatsune Miku, not the resin version..

The 1/6 PVC version will cost about 7,140 yen (tax included) which is about SGD$90.. It will be released this September..

Well, I particularly like the glossy outfit look that this figure has.. Also is the “01″ number imprinted on her left shoulder..

I wish I can get her but due to it being exclusive on Volks website, chances of getting a source to pre-order her would be very hard.. I shall leave behind this Hatsune Miku figure with a heavy heart..

Well, let just hope the announcement of the figma Miku will be enough to cheer me up.. ^^
