It has been quite a long while since the release of the preview for the Opening video of the upcoming game, Hatsune Miku – Project DIVA 2 - by SEGA.. Now just a few weeks before the release of the game itself, someone got a chance to grab a video of the full version of the video, with the song being played titled “こっち向いて Baby”..

Now, get ready to be mesmerized by the wonderful and awesome video itself.. Enjoy~

Project DIVA 2 Opening Full Version:

When I watched the whole video, I was totally awed by its wonderful animation, especially the band-singing sequence.. This is also a first time SEGA decided to make a whole Opening PV with a full song.. Unlike the previous “Project DIVA” which plays a shorter version of the song, “The Secret Garden”, the 2nd one plays at a more energetic note and so-called allow players to listen to the cool song composed by “Ryo” himself.. XD

I kinda love it when I saw they put Tako Luka in the video as well apart from the tiny chibi Mikus.. Another thing to note is that Miku, Luka and the Kagamine twins are more detailed in the video itself.. I hope to see something like that if it is possible to play “Project DIVA 2″ on “Dreamy Theater”.. =3

After hearing this, I’m so excited to play the gmae once I received it on its release date which is on the July 29th..

Sega has again released new gameplay videos from the game 「Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- 2nd」.. This time, the videos showcased 3 well-known songs back in the days; “Innocence” by Kazu-P, “Promise” by Samfree & “VOiCE” by Lovely-P. More after the jump~

After the release of the gameplay videos of “PoPiPo” and “Sound”, I had a 50/50 view that they would release more gameplay videos from the game itself.. Although “PoPiPo” do caught my attention with its hyperness, I still don’t feel the vibe for the “Sound” PV in the game, but thats just my own opinion.. XD

This time however, all 3 videos really catch my attention for their own respective reasons, not just for their own unique outfits chosen perfectly for the PVs. So let us begin with the song “Innocence”..

“Innocence” [Project DIVA 2] – Hatsune Miku:

What I like about this PV is the stage used for the song; it really suits the theme the original animation showed.. However, instead of using the same colour theme, it is more of a white colour scheme, giving a livelier atmosphere..

Moving on to “Promise”~

“Promise” [Project DIVA 2] – Hatsune Miku & Kagamine Rin:

For this PV, I really like the dance sequence of Rin and Miku.. Although it resembles abit like “Magnet”, it’s really dynamic.. I and Fuzzy still remember the dance sequence from the Thanks Giving concert but it looks way better with the new costumes.. XD

Last but not least, we have “VOiCE”..

“VOiCE” [Project DIVA 2] – Hatsune Miku:

I particularly love this PV due to the fact that they recreated the room in the mansion, taking every detail that you’ve seen in the original 3DPV itself.. From the furniture to the painting, it is quite accurate.. For this scene, its part of the flashback for Miku who is now wandering around a post-apocalyptic landscape..

I can’t wait for the game to be finally released on the July 29th.. Just one more month to go~ Maybe SEGA will upload more gameplay videos..

As you all know, Sega’s PSP rhythm game DLC data for your PS3, titled 「Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- “Dreamy Theater“」 will make your gaming experience more interesting. You’ll be able to play as your favorite virtual singing idols in full HD, from Hatsune Miku to Megurine Luka~ All you need is your PSP and the 「Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA-」 game, connected to the Playstation 3 system.

Although there isnt any news if this will also be compatible with the upcoming 「Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- 2nd」 PSP game which is coming out in July, I doubt Sega will forget about doing the same for the 2nd game.. XD 「Dreamy Theater」 will be available for purchase on June 24th at the Japanese Playstation Store; priced at 3,000 Yen or at about SGD$45.

Just a few days after SEGA released the opening movie preview of the one of their anticipated game, 「Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- 2nd」, they released another new video.. This video showcases some of the songs that will be available for play in the new game.. Not only that, you can play the songs with the characters in their respective unique outfits..

There are a total of 5 songs showcase in the video and I have to say they are quite interesting to try when the game is out.. To those who don’t know the songs, they are~

Sega has just released a preview of the Opening video for the upcoming game, Hatsune Miku Project DIVA 2.. Coming out in July 29th, the video features not only Hatsune Miku but also Megurine Luka, Kagamine Rin and Len.. Its just too amazing, animation and song-wise.. Here is the video~

The video showcased a more active Hatsune Miku than the one shown in the previous game.. She is joined in together with Kagamine Rin and Len who plays the Bass guitar and standard guitar respectively.. They are also joined by Megurine Luka who is the drummer for the group..

Animation-wise, I find it more attractive and entertaining that I didnt feel bored watching it over and over again.. Furthermore, the song played in the video, titled “こっち向いて Baby” is done by none other than one of my favourite Vocaloid compsoer, “Ryo”.. The song is very nice and has a catchy tune to it.. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any source of the lyrics to the song nor the song itself..

Another good news is that the Dreamy Theater will be a PlayStation Store only title selling for 3,000Yen or about SGD$47, releasing on the 24th of July.. In order to get the whole 3D experience of the game, it requires a PSP and a copy of Project Diva to run.. I will get back to this when there is more news regrding it..

Although I got these a few weeks ago, I didn’t manage to find the time to post about them till now.. I have here 2 illustration books; “Hatsune Miku Graphics” by a collaboration of Piapro & Crypton and “Project DIVA Master Book” by SEGA.. Both are very interesting books since they have their own unique contents but I’ll do a review on them individually some other time..

“Kagamine San Dai Higeki” (鏡音三大悲劇) is a compilation of 3 animated movies based on the twins.

Nico Nico Douga

This collaboration project was started last year, and a CM of the project was released in December, coinciding with the twins’ birthday.

As the title implies, the main theme is tragedy, so expect bad endings. The scenes are way too short to comprehend, however. It might have been the intention of the artists to target Rin & Len fans who are familiar with the songs and stories behind them. For those of you that aren’t, however, I’ll just conveniently embed the songs and some summarised plot in here.

The first clip (after the movie poster scene) is based on “proof of life” and “soundless voice” by Hitoshizuku P (ひとしずくP). “proof of life” is Rin singing about her slow loss of her senses and her eventual and inevitable death, while “soundless voice” is about Len unable to cope with her absence and being willing to sacrifice his own voice to hear hers again.

The second is based on “Prisoner” and “Paper Plane” by shuujin P (囚人P). The songs are intertwined, and the gist of the story is that Len is confined in a concentration camp (think Nazi), and communicates with a girl (Rin) using paper planes. Eventually, both of the twins die without knowing of the other’s fate.

This clip is rather short though, and only uses “Prisoner” as its BGM. Strange. :/

The third is based on “Servant of Evil” and “Daughter of Evil” by Akuno P (悪ノP). The stories behind the songs differ slightly, and by the looks of it, the animation itself is using the story behind “Servant of Evil”. I’ll quote DT directly this time around, since there’s no better way to put it:

The story of the song is told through the views of the evil princess’s servant, Len, who is actually her twin brother. The evil princess has done many cruel things and is cold by nature, but her brother only sees the nice and innocent side of her, serving her whole-heartedly all the while. Then, while on a trip to another land, Len sees a woman with green colored hair (Hatsune Miku) and falls in love with her instantly. However, the Daughter of Evil, being jealous of what she saw, orders Len to have her killed, in which Len obeys without any hesitation.

Later, the woman’s partner (Kaito) as well as an uprising army (lead by Meiko) attack the castle in which the evil princess is living in wanting to take the evil princess’s life. It was then her servant came up with an idea to save her by exchanging each other’s clothes and trade places instead. As they are identical twins, no one would be tell that the “evil princess” is actually a fake. Unsurprisingly, everyone fell for the trick and the servant, disguised as the princess, was sent to the execution table and beheaded, as the princess watches and grieves for her brother. However, Len says that he has no regrets and and was glad to be of service to her princess even till the very end.

Let’s not forget the (fortunately) uplifting credits! The song is “Wadachi” by Hikutsu P (卑屈P), and the short animation at the end was by Yuuju. I’m not entirely sure who drew and animated the rest, however. Here’s the collaboration staff listing:

The video is admittedly still slightly rough on the edges and hasn’t exactly escaped that “home-made” feel, but the quality’s definitely there. My current favourite is the first clip (“proof of life”/“soundless voice”). Rin’s body giving up the ghost and falling into the snow made me weep tears of sorrow. ( ;A;)

In fact, I can’t bring myself to watch this too many times, since all of the scenes are just too friggen’ depressing. Rin and/or Len dying thrice must have something to do with that. (; *A*)

While the title of the original video posting on Nico Nico Douga implies that it was just an attempt (してみた), the CM posting indicates that it’s complete (完成版アップです!). If that’s true, then that really sucks. I would love to see a more complete product. =(

Oh well.

Just only a few days has passed and I’ve found another worthy PV to showcase, this time the song is titled, “Prism Heart”.. Sung by Hatsune Miku, the music itself was originally composed by one of the great Vocaloid composer, “samfree” who is well-known for creating other Vocaloid songs like “Dark Alice”, “Miki Miki ★ Romantic Night” and “Gravity=Reality”..

Like usual, let us watch the video before we move on to the details.. Emjoy watching the video~ XD

“Prism Heart” – Hatsune Miku:

Now regarding the music itself, I instantly took a liking to it due to its lively and beautiful tune.. The music emits such a relaxing “aura” that you want to listen to it a couple more times.. The tempo of the song is perfect if you are going from one place to another. The song is quite catchy you won’t feel bored listening to it like some songs do.. Even without the animation, the song is still wondeful to listen to..

Moving on to the animation, I was initially stunned to see the beginning of the PV which is the creating of Hatsune Miku’s movements using MikuMikuDance (MMD) program.. I thought it was one of those special tutorials for those who wish to know about the MMD program.. But yeah, it was just one of the unique scenes specially created for the PV itself.. XD

Well, the animation is very smooth to the point that you can see Miku’s hands clenching so human-like; no lagging or whatsoever.. I love the changing of scenery because it was done so beautifully it fits well with the music.. The best thing about the PV was the singing scenes where Miku moves around so gracefully that I fell I was watching a concert (though its obvious its animated)..

This PV was done as a submission for the 4th MikuMikuDance Cup but unfortunately, it was submitted quite late (24th Feb) when the last day of submission was on the 19th Feb and the result was shown on 23rd Feb.. But hey, the song is still amazing to listen to.. This is another one of the Vocaloid songs I recommend you all to listen.. ^^

Just recently, the 4th MikuMikuDance Cup has ended.. This is where people uses their creativity to create some of the most amazing MMD videos ever following one of the three categories chosen by the tournament organizers. Winners are then selected through a point system on NicoNicoDouga.. It is so good to see wonderful and even epic MMD videos..
